Now Mr. Mark Karpeles reserves the right only for himself to buy cheap coins from MTGox and sell them somewhere else without limits or any other restrictions for himself to earn a fuckload of money.

No he is selflessly giving them to you Wink .....or may he consider his bitcoins not worth more than 280 dollar, perhaps

not so selflessly even less ?

But there are people out there who still know his accounting -books better than himself for sure  Wink

Cheers

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

fiat jpy withdrawal submitted on jan 27th just went through this afternoon.

thats 14 business days. 6 day increase from one on jan 6 that was 8 business days.

Fiat SEPA withdrawal submitted on jan 7th just went through this mornig.

unfortunately, my withdrawals from Japan post bank on 1/17 and 1/18 are still “confirmed”!

yeah, thats not good... because everyone else's have been going in order. but if you are throwing out a lot of little withdrawals, isnt there some 20 day rule? ive always had 20 day space between my withdrawals.

Many of you suckers people are not getting this: You are not going to be paid by Mt. Gox until you either apply serious pressure to them or they come up with some way to underpay you.

If Mt. Gox owes you money, you need to be suing in Delaware and complaining to the SEC and complaining to the Japan FSA and  talking to a collection agency in Japan and talking to the Japan External Trade Organization and the financial press.  You can apply pain to Mt. Gox until they pay up. And you should. Now. While the world financial press is watching.

I've collected amounts in six figures across borders. It was a headache, but eventually they paid 100%. It took a lawyer and threats of taking them into bankruptcy, but I didn't have to go to court.

Protest at MTGOX update

According to law of Japan, the protesters have the right to stop the crime in progress by citizen's arrest. In this case, Mark is detained using necessary force to prevent him from leaving the scene and delivered to the police. It helps if the allegations against him are clearly written.

^^ THIS

No, it's simple as pie. If you have grounds to believe that there is a crime going on, and that the criminal may be about to run with the money, you just detain him and leave the matter to the police for investigation. The police cannot fine you unless they find out that Mt.Gox is committing nothing criminal. In the complaint you outline the crimes in such technical precision that the police cannot find them not true without real investigation. So they will have to investigate.

Of course they can summarily decide that you are wrong and the arrest was unlawful, but if Mt.Gox ever is found guilty (which I would say is 99% sure at this point), you will triumph as a hero and Japan police and judicial system is shamed.

This is exactly why citizen's arrest prevails in the legal code. When it's taken away, then there is nothing more to do but whine.

Market  needed some time to realise the meaning of gox statement, but now i think the message is received and understood. Despite  gox situation the 17-2-2014 statement it self,  is a dead sentence for gox. I believe that they will came up with something, to easy market, in the next few hours ...

Sounds like a gamble.
You have to remember that laws in Japan likely will be different than where you are from.

Sounds risky if you turn out to be unable to prove the crime has taken place.

I would expect the daily/monthly BTC withdrawals to be something like 10BTC/day and 50 BTC/month. Anyone with a large account will be stuck there for a long long time.

I am also predicting 10BTC per day. They are pretty much doing what an insolvent bank would do but without actually coming out and saying it. Prepared to be proven wrong on this but I feel very strongly because this is hurting Bitcoin and was entirely avoidable.

The simplest way to serve their intent is a % limit withdrawal over each balance. so they will screw everybody !

Well they said that there will be a new statement on friday, but they did not explicitely say that they would not start bitcoin withdrawals before that. I wish they could be more explicit, really, say more.
