I'm back from the holidays and I surely missed some posts.
If someone is waiting for a reply from me (on this post, not by PM, I will manage that asap), please post the question again, thanks.

I'm mining on suprnova.cc pool and transfer my coins to BTER then trade them -haven't done that yet-. the question is, do I ever need cryptonite wallet on my win? and how can I get my wallet address?

It would take such a person some minutes, while it would take many hours to me. I don't even have a windows installation ready.
A few minutes huh?
I'll give it a try, but won't be in minutes... more like after this pool since pursing this pool.
If no one else has done it by then, I'll give it a shot.

If you get the site, but not the XCN/CNY; then look at the right side for the XCN/CNY button.

Alrighty, so this appears to be the Step By Step process for compiling a XCN Wallet (both CLI - Command Line Interface, and GUI - Graphical User Interface):
Assuming from the very beginning, skip steps where needed...

XCN Wallet Linux Compile Process for both CLI and GUI

Thanks. May I link this post in the op?

Technically you don't need to install the wallet, but any new node will help strengthen the network, so please do :-)

By all means.
Though realizing that the Addons I listed at the end of the Update may not be entirely correct.
I am basing this on a list I found through the thread and from the Nova Exchange site:
https://novaexchange.com/addnodes/XCN/
I just now saw this one (from page one):

You can try one of these:

- use the blockchain snapshot found in the first post

BTC38 is having issues today and yesterday, you can check the transaction on the block explorer to see if it went thru, then ask btc38 support.

You can backup the private keys or the wallet file, just like with bitcoin.

I do not think it is a scam,
But rather buggy code or servers.
I would like to go use Bter, but handing over passport information does not set well.

Hmm the wallet might still need some fixing.
I came accross some failed asserts the other day when setting up my old desktop to run a full node (no tx pruning).

About that @pallas:
Am I correct to add the "-txindex 1" parameter to the wallet path?
While saying that: the selektion21.de explorer is still running a normal node. Once I get confirmation for that parameter, I will add it and have it run a full tx history.

And next time I see that assert fail, I will post a debug.log.

i used to mine about 1k xcn an hour on 2x1070 a 750ti and a 1050ti at 380 watt total rig .... this is total manipulation to benefit early miners and holders basically . There fuckall to justify the price hike of recently , unless u get about 10 cents per xcn for your mined coins now it aint good to mine that simple .... also seems that the one and only pool suprnova , cant handle it and cant even show its page properly for days now . This still a good a coin but i dont know what to think anymore .   also dont forget pallas has a private miner that does 40 megahash per 1070 Smiley . best wishes Smiley

TOO MANY MISSED OPPORTUNITIES!!!   buy any shitcoin today double your money tomorrow Tongue ol crypto woes
Dont leave coins in Bter exchange ...they are straight up thieves and dont even reply when your coins disappear Sad
