Wow, nice. Thanks for this detailled guide! Do you think it would also be possible to compile for OSX with this?

MXE only does windows. I think OSX wallet can be compiled natively but it'll take a while to figure out.

Thanks very much! Added to the OP. That is great. Now all we need to have is for Centos 7 x64 and we can cover all our systems too Great guide! #crysx

MXE only does windows. I think OSX wallet can be compiled natively but it'll take a while to figure out. Most guides are for Ubuntu systems. Almost none for Centos 7 x64 or Fedora 27 x64 (RHEL based systems in other words). You have done a great guide there anyway. There is a dev we use who is great at getting cross compilations for both Win and OSX, but I am unsure if he is willing to divulge exactly how he does it. He is really great guy and a good dev also, so maybe he could give pointers to it. We would like to setup our own, but all our systems are Centos 7 x64 and Fedora 27 x64 for the time being. At least they are the base systems for compilation for most daemons. We are finding a little trouble with XCN code in Centos 7 x64, but will eventually work it all out. Any help your end would be appreciated also. #crysx

When I download it, I save as file name cryptonite-qt save as type 'Application' and run it. After loading it shows 0.00 XNC amounts and says, in red, out of sync

Well, the moment you run it it will be out of sync, but should start syncing in some seconds and be done after 30 minutes or more depending on your hardware and connection.

I removed the CPPFLAGS line from the compile script, it was a remnant of messing with qt5.

It makes toolchains similar to mxe but the libraries will be different. You can go through the folder history and see how they fixed different things.

XCN is good for mining in winter. If the temperature is high in summer and the power consumption is high, this is a big problem.I'm very comfortable in the computer room now.

I'm European, living in Thailand and I use bx.in.th. On BX I can invest in cryptonite. XCN/BTC Cryptonite Last price : 0.00000084 Change : -5.62% Volume : 989,681 XCN I only have 1 question, why will I invest in Cryptonite, or why will I advice people in Thailand and Europe to invest in it? The website about Cryptonite's, home page is ok, but "development news" looks "Not-Professional" and is out-dated. Last input was from 19th of September 2014. I'ts maybe possible for go for the fast gaine, hoping on a positive change and fast redraw the investment. But we are more looking for a long time project. I repeat my question : Why will I/We add Cryptonite in or long time investment strategie? PS: The very low price is not an argument. Looks like I was in the wrong tread with my first question

Looks like I was in the wrong tread with my first question Cryptonite is still in active development but we have some issues: - difficulty in entering new exchanges now that some (where we have been historically strong) were closed (luckly, novaexchange seem to be headed for a relaunch). - need to organise a rebranding or at least an update of the website and other information, but before investing in communication we should fix the previous point. - my time is limited and I'd need support from community (which has been great till now): for a serious relaunch we need to work on the previous 2 points. So well, things are progressing slowly but after 4 years we are still here with our innovative technology, which in part is still unique in the crypto world. And this is a proof that we are not a scam or P&D scheme like most of the other coins, which may have a lot of support but end up as worthless. Thanks for your support.

I was familiar with an old trading platform and XCN was traded only on this trading platform. Once I had more than 30 times profit in XCN, so I focused on XCN and learned that its technical team is still trying to expand XCN Marketing, which made me excited,

Moreover, I always like to participate in small items, I keep a lot of these coins, because of its low circulation and it is particularly valuable

Ik think you are speaking like a programmer, and if I am correct, respect for that. Than maybe you see Cryptonite as your baby. And because the respect, I will like to know more about your baby. But first, you can not forget the marketing. Most of the people who I know, have no knowledge about blockchain, or public/private passwords, or miners, or .... They only have a lot of money, and wish, in a short time, make little bit more money from it, or in long time, make a lot more of money from it. My first step for learn about cryptonite was on bx.in.th. But I never have spend to much time on it, becausse the value was so low. But, there is an difference between Asian and European thinking. Asians like more to gamble with virtual currency, where an European looks more for the technologie and long time investment. With always the exception on the rule. So my Thai friends asked if i wonna give Cryptonite a closer look. And I did that. Reason for the question, the rate is so low, if I spend few 100.000 baht, and it doubles in a month, easy gain. Where I started with searching information about Cryptonite? The chat group on BX. I don't know if you understand Thai, but you have to check what the people write, or not write about your baby. Second part was the internet, website, google, and the TOR network. 3the, my network from people who I know, interrested in crytpto currency. and now here. And if I only follow the marketing, without speaking with you, I will advice my Asian friends, good for gamble, but only in very very short periods. And than i mean in Hr's or minutes. Invest, hope for have a gaine, and than sell. But still be careful. For long time investors, for now, my advice, stay far away from it. But that's why I come back to you. How you see, on long time, your baby become an adult? Do you have a time line? Don you have a schedule to follow? And why i must chose cryptonite and not dog/panda/.. coin? What makes your baby special? And last but not least, you are on bx.in.th, an exchange in Thailand. Why I can not find information in Thai? It's like sellling a product in the USA, but never use English. But lucky me, that's why my Thai friends come to me for do it for them.

It's like sellling a product in the USA, but never use English. But lucky me, that's why my Thai friends come to me for do it for them. You are suggesting your friends to pump and dump XCN. We are not interested into this. We are interested in a stable, long running coin with added value (which is the technology and the people who work on it). This is fact, as the coin has been running for 4 years and the technology is working and documented. I understand that technology is not easy to explain, but if you are looking for a long term investment, what's better than an old coin still running fine after a lot of time? In the end, the probability of a coin (or an asset) to last is proportional to its life. Speaking about Thai people, I can't read Thai but you and some other people can; it would be very interesting to know what they are saying about XCN in Thailand, and we can respond with help from your translation. What do you think? This will help us understand.

I only can do that, if I believe in your currency.
So make me a believer.
Why is your currency better that dog/panda/... coin?
Make me a believer.
Why I must tell my Thai friends on bx, buy.
Or why I must tell myself, buy?
But never shoot the messenger of piano player.
