If we want to be certain that no hacked coins are in circulation, we must make a new coin, but the old one will stay nonetheless.
The rebranding is good for marketing, but it won't change anything in that regard.

But as I understand, if you want to send hacked coins to the wallet it won't accept it, yes?
So maybe you should do a coin swap to new blockchain with rebranding?
Anybody, who would be interested would migrate and swap coins, and old chain would remain, but undeveloped.

It's not that easy. We can't know which transactions include hacked coins when coming from an exchange, and also what to do with transactions that contain both hacked and honest coins. That's why it should have been a task for the exchange itself, as they may easily know which user received the hacked coins first, and folow the history from there.

So this means, you can withdraw hacked coins to your wallet? Something like zcoin terrible flaw.
So maybe it's a good idea to swap coins to new blockchain with anyone who would want to participate and start new coin? Because it's a mess now...

that is a possibility.
in brief, we could:

- keep it as is and start a new coin, with same codebase but different name and new blockchain.
- just rebrand the current coin.
- organise a coin swap to a new blockchain, with optional rebranding (at least the name/ticker will need to change, to avoid confusion).

you can read about CSC here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=616792.0
they were in our situation cryptopia delist them because of double spend attack .
they decided to do a coin swap. they gave to user 2 months time for coin swap after 2 month 90% of all total supply swapped(and burned) and 10% remain will be used for foundation( will be use for bounty; new exchange; and etc)

I support which ever keeps my coins Smiley Took 4 years to mine.

Emphasis should be made on 'community based' maybe with rewards on contributions to commits.

Hello Cryptonite fans

I have made a XCN Facebook Page, if you could take a moment to hit the like button that would be awesome! https://www.facebook.com/XCN.mini.blockchain/

If you all would like, I can make a Group for mining, development, and general discussion and link it to the page. I know most of you are too cool for Facebook  Cool  but believe it or not Facebook has a HUGE crypto audience.

also for you creative members of the Cryptonite community, we could really use some fresh graphics!

Good initiative mate! Will follow your page, I mean XCN page Tongue

I can't without GPU :/.
Btw. I want to discuss with community maybe package deal to some exchange to list us (4 coins: XCN, SLM, DTC, and FRC - Freicoin), with 50% discount, what do you think, would you agree?
I think we can negotiate it, and if not freiexchange can list you for free (or almost free).

So I have asked them (korean exchange - gopax), and they told us that they if we decide, guy will try to negotiate with management and get us listed for 2 BTC, 3 or 4 coins.
I have talked also with dtc and freicoin about this, what is your take on it? 0.5btc per coin or 0.66btc per coin

Hummm what's everyone doing over here? Just kidding. Cheesy

How you doing pallas?  Smiley

I'm just mining some Cryptonite here. Smiley  Good coin.

Any improved mining apps.?

I'm going to try your miner.  djm's miner is still the fastest. Others don't allow intensity settings.

Anyone know where I can get the latest wallet? I have 0.1.2.0 The one on OP is dead link.  thx

My miner doesn't allow setting the intensity, but it automatically uses the best value for 3GB cards, the 1070 and 1080.
I will update the link on the OP, thanks.

For windows if your datadir is already syncd you can use this one. It uses db6.1 so backup your wallet.dat first.
If you're not syncd it should work with the latest blockchain snapshot.

Cryptonite 0.1.4.10: http://www.mediafire.com/file/26wfu8m1527lmcf/cryptonite-qt.exe
Thx will do.  Smiley

Old wallet had nodes ... but new one no nodes .. won't sync.

EDIT: I deleted ver 1.4.1 and installed 1.4.0 and now it's syncing.

maybe you had an old peers.dat in the datadir? you can keep the chain and remove the peers.dat file safely.

there is a problem with the latest wallet and sync from scratch, so either keep the old chain or use the snapshot (available in the OP).
