Apologies for not reading better about helium then.
However:
Since Dash's circulating supply is 7,647M, and spreadcoins supply is 8,991M, how are you going to accumulate 1,344 extra helium to compensate?
What happens to the unclaimed spreadcoin?
Is there going to be insight in how much premine is going to be kept?

Where does DASH come in? This is a 1:1 drop for SPR holders. So, 8.991m HLM will initially exist. On the very first page of this thread (ever read it?) it reads:

Quote
* Total Coin Supply 20m
* Block release is 7% per year

So, yeah, you are right, if the team stalls the release for 4 weeks, it can mine 0.8%. Whoop-dee-doop, what a scam. Considering this is an airdrop that has been months in the making.

PLEASE: before you come barging in with some accusations, at least do your home-work.

Because Helium is based on Dash's code. It is not a fork of the Dash blockchain but using Dash from Github to build Helium. It's not exactly a clone since it will have unique code and a different roadmap.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

who got the helium coins that was on other wallets than cryptopia or his own? are they lost?

If you had your coin in your own SPR wallet, then you will get your coins after the public launch. Nobody has them now, not even on Cryptopia.
But you you had your coins in Bittrex or Yobit, they didn't support the snapshot, the SPR owners won't be eligible to equal amount of HLM.

Each time a block is mined, 45% goes to the winning miner or pool. 45% is sent to the active masternodes and 10% is reserved for the treasury.
A correction: based on my experience with other masternode coins, I'd say that for each block 45% of the block reward is sent to one (winning) masternode, selected randomly from the active ones.

How do you host a masternode? I'm interested in doing it.

Halo Platform is one of the fastest Blockchains I've seen yet. They have FREE transactions. 250 Millisecond Block speeds. Smart contracts, Masternodes, blockchain games, and their own high speed DEX with BTC/ETH/USDC pairs. Similar to ETH, Waves, EOS, and more yet with only $1 million mcap. This video showcases the speed and reliability of the blockchain using the DEX, Masternodes (that will soon payout in BTC and ETH), blockchain games, and more! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g74d3ixX7E8&feature=youtu.be

@HLM Team

Any reason you didn't just put the necessary premine funds into the Genesis Block, versus this "we need to mine for weeks" approach?

I don't believe they've said they are "mining for weeks".  I'm just speculating ... those coins have to come from somewhere.

Maybe a dev will pipe in and indicate what they are doing.

Right, which is my genesis block question. You can have the very first block award any amount you want and then go back to the normal emission for future blocks, it's actually quite simple.

Another reason is to build blockchain to certain length, with ASICs high hash rate, you will get multiple orphan chains that will be difficult to reach conscientious  if you start from genesis block. Don't worry about "premine", HLM team already said they will burn it. Just be patient, I am also waiting to buy the dump, if any.
