The deal is too good. Bitmain is really smart and does not off deals this good. Conclusion WTF are they up to. if you do 5 % a jump at 10 cent power with ltc at 9.50 usd the gear will earn back fully in sixty days and turn a huge profit. look at daily numbers look at per diff jump look at weekly look at monthly

yeah they may break a lot. but i remember when they went head to head against spondoolies. and they crushed them they also dropped prices and flood the market with gear so much that btc dropped as low as 190 usd. if they flood the ltc market with these maybe ltc just drops in price a lot. this is a very interesting move on their part.

My tin foil hat theory is that they are going to start cranking these out every 2-3 months and its going to drive difficulty sky high which will make these prices that seem crazy low now, more sensible later. Alternatively they may be trying to corner market and shut out Innosilicon by undercutting to drive business, maybe these first offerings are a loss leader to drive attention.

I wouldn't be surprised come May batch that these things will hardly make 50 bucks a month.....ok maybe a bit more but you get the point.

Anyone order the may 5th one?
And before LTC price jumped a couple weeks ago, there were more profitable scrypt coins to mine right? seems if ltc gets nearly unprofitable with this there still may be other scrypt coins to mine that are profitable.. what do you think?

Yea, they basically doubled the hashing power of the A4's from Inno with less power than one A4. And to top that off, they made the price lower than a new A4, def a strategic move to corner the market early. Picked up 3 myself

Got one of May 5 batch. The potential upside even when accounting for 15-20% breakage rates plaguing S9 and R4s is intriguing. This will be judged as spectacular deal or fail, time will show. Hopefully it is the former.

Coinbase just announced LTC support.
Even if difficulty rises to change May's batch from 2 month ROI to 5, Im still fine with that.
I picked up 5.

Maybe this is a pr move. Mr WU has been on the receiving end some bad pr lately with blocking segwit and all. I did see a comment made lately they will add 900g to the litecoin network.dont know if true or not. Or it could be bitmain has a ton of ltc. After all they have been mining with the l1 for how long now. Could be they think they have control enough of the market to manipulate price in whichever direction they decide. I don't have enough coin right now to justify this purchase. One thing I've learned hard lessons in crypto is if it Seems to good to be true it usually is. Best move is likely to just buy ltc and sit on it. I'll be doing that with a little coin instead of giving it to bitmain in hopes I get it back. think I'll just sit this one out and watch from the sidelines. Gpu doing me quite well anyway Edit. Finally found it https://twitter.com/satoshilite/status/851126773349621760. Knew I had read it somewhere. https://twitter.com/shaolinfry/status/850995104240336896BR

It's pretty clear that Jihan Wu and Charlie Lee are at odds with each other lately. Jihan is almost certainly feeling threatened by the Litecoin moving closer to SegWit and UASF. If the more nimble Litecoin succeeds in these directions, then it will increase pressure on Bitcoin to follow suit.
The L3 is the most efficient Scrypt miner available. By releasing it with an unheard of ROI potential (at least unheard of recently) he clearly wants the L3 to dominate the market. And if it does, then lazy or shortsighted miners will likely point at Antpool, which is blocking SegWit activation for Litecoin.
I bought an L3 (and only one because I've got a limited power budget) and plan to point it at a SegWit signaling pool.
I don't want this to turn into a Core verses BU argument. Everyone can make their own decision.
Personally I've had it with Bitmain's domination. I plan to use their own products (in my own small way) against them.

This brings back memories. I gotta dig up an old post somewhere where I said a long time ago that no one will sell you something that returns 100% in 60 days. It's an economic impossibility and a recipe for disaster. Get the popcorn though. This is likely the only way for them to go around the fact they can't get their BTC and LTC out of the exchanges so they just sell hardware which is basically a bond on future income.

Yea I'm not faulting anyone buying one or ten. To each their own. If I bought one I'd be pointing it at litecoinpool.org. They have 103%pps litecoin pool or if ya looking for max profit clevermining was at 140% yesterday. Litecoin pool gives options to vote for or against segwit. I really would like it to pass for litecoin just to see if it's viable or not. If it doesn't and they still hell bent on passing segwit then they should create a new coin and test it there. If people see value they will mine/buy the new coin. This constant bickering moaning and groaning to get code passed has got to stop. BR
