I have ordered 2 l3+ (for the September batch) along with 2 apw++ for the July S9 batch, and I was wondering what else I need to know/have before I am ready to begin mining. I am planning on setting up the machines in their own room of my home and I couldn't find any information about how many can be hooked up in one room or how many on the same circiut. Also is there anything I need to worry about regarding the placement of the miners or the powering of the miners or the profability of them in September. I am very new to mining and any helpful responses would be greatly appreciated. Smiley (also it says I need a power cable for each APW++ and I was wondering what I need for that too)

Assuming you're in the US, you'll likely need two separate circuits. One L3+ will be pulling 8-9 amps so you can only run one on a typical 15A circuit, MAYBE two on a 20A but not recommended (you should not exceed 80% of breaker rating).

I don't think anybody can help you with profitability. Most likely the difficulty will increase and profitability will decrease by then, but nobody can tell how much.

You'll need a power cable like this (again, assuming you're in the US/Canada/etc): https://www.amazon.com/Tripp-Lite-Heavy-Duty-IEC-320-C13-P007-006/dp/B0027JRMD0

Edit: you'll also need a wired internet connection, e.g. two Ethernet cables from your router.

Thanks for the detailed answer, if I were to get a 240v circuit how many miners would I be able to have on it? And what kind of cooling would I need for 2 L3+'s?

One miner would need ~4 amps on 240V, so if you get a 20 amp 240V circuit - 3 miners at least, maybe 4.

Cooling depends on your climate mostly. Don't waste money on A/C unless you're somewhere like Arizona. Just venting the room (window fan perhaps?) may be sufficient.

Only few things Smiley

1. Miners are loud and they give off a lot of heat. So in a home environment basemant or the garage are the best room.
2. One L3+ takes less than 4 ampers on 230v line and less than 8 for 110v. Check FUSE, how many ampers it got. Also wires. long term load of 1,5mm wire is maximum 15 ampers, 2,5mm - 20 ampers.

This kit by Gekkoscience, HP DPS-1200 FBA server power supply with breakout board and 10x pci-e cables will do the job nicely.

See the "DPS1200 PSU Kit".

Go with a 20 amp 240v circuit for 2 L3s, it will give you enough room to add another if you choose.  As far as cooling that is all dependant on miner placement in you house/garage/etc.  As well as your specific climate where you live

Guys what you think about the price for L3+ on hashnest for next restock ?

I would not expect a low price.
Bitmain sells L3+ for 46.9 LTC in China. For us price is 41 LTC.
The next L3+ in Hashnest can cost even up to around $5600.

I sent a msg to him yesterday and got no reply until now... I'd be pissed if he delayed responding to my messages after I sent the money. Better get it from somewhere else. Thank you any way, friend! Smiley

He is a busy manufacturer and most likely wants to have some free time from work in weekends just like most of us.
You are being impatient.

That's mighty selfish of you, don't you think? sidehack has a life of his own, he's busy guy, and there is a pretty good chance that he is located in a different time-zone than you. You are not his only customer, and you are no more important than any of the other customers he has, perhaps even less so since you haven't purchased from him yet. Try reading the first message of the purchase thread and all the details are usually presented.

I've dealt with sidehack, both via message threads and PMs on this forum. I have purchased a modified S7-LN miner through him, and everything was as advertised.

No mining at the moment.

Nope $5600 is easy for them to sell... the other way they can sell it is currently 1 MH/s on Hashnest Market is going for 0.3080 LTC so

so 1 L3+ will be 504 x .3080 = 155 LTC x $43 per LTC = $6675

so if Hashnest is smarter than slowly sell L3+ on the Market Average Daily Volume is 24000 Mh/s or about 50 L3+ day they can keep mining for themselves until they can sell all there hash power on open market.

Sorry if looked like this... I bet that getting that PSU for L3+ with them is a good option as well. I'll also do business with them soon... Thanks for the collaboration guys!

No experience on that man. Im still waiting for them to ship my machines.
May i ask if these machines are running extremely hot? I mean i know any operating machine will get hot, but i mean, should i be scared to leave my house for a few hours thinking something might catch fire? It might sound dumb, but better be safe than sorry!
I also know that the machine will switch off if it reach a dangerous temp..

Thank you guys
