how do you answer this job interview question:
Tell me about a time that you could not successfully complete a project?
A lot of project cannot be successfully completed due to several reasons.
One of which is attitude problem in tackling the challenges that hamper its success.
The right attitude is everything.
That's why I bring up the question on the formal education that Steve received.
Because from my observation, people with high education level have completely different attitude and personality vs those that don't.
And when the attitude and personality is not right, that puts an undesirable challenge to any success.
Someone mentioned Jahigrant giving the face palm, for example, and to me that is highly unprofessional treatment to a person that contributes to the project.
A sign of disrespect.
The attitude problem determines how well the team will handle challenges going their way.
And how well they handle the challenges determines the level of success (or failure) that Populous will be heading to.
You get me?

The most desirable attitude I would love to see is the team responding positively to comments and feedback like, "Yes, thank you for pointing out the mistakes/errors. We will correct them within 24 hours." And thereafter I see the mistakes/errors get corrected.No, it won't work if they say "Yes, thank you for pointing out the mistakes/errors. We will correct them within 24 hours." but the mistakes/errors still linger for days if not weeks.
It is still acceptable if they say, "Yes, thank you for pointing out the mistakes/errors. But we are currently doing a revamp of it and it will take some days to get thing right." Instead, they act like a bunch of mute guys, keep quiet about it, and let people wonder what the fuck is the problem. And they only explain things with face palm and insulting/undermining statements (as if the team is so smart and everyone else is stupid, considering their level of education in comparison for a start) when people start making noises and complaining.
Attitude problem? I say yes.

The team should have tested the version themselves and solve the silly glitches first before releasing it. Then we would be discussing more on how to improve the features or make it even better instead of lots of reporting on the glitches and less on how to improve it. The glitches should be solved
before the release. Yes, there will still be some glitches but persistent login glitch is a BIG problem that shouldn't even be there.
By right we should be talking more about how to improve the features, not reporting the glitches.
But because the glitches is too plentiful (I can't even login after many tries), I believe many of us can't even make any suggestion to improve any feature available.
Yeah, I don't want to keep complaining. I want to make good suggestions on how to improve the platform better.
But how the fuck can I do that if I can't even login?
And assuming if I can, but keep facing different glitches here and there, then how will I be able to make any suggestions?
I would have to keep reporting the glitches.
