Hey Phil do you think that short gigabyte is a better choice?
yeah it is shorter then the zotac 1070 is I also see the mobo he picked is 9 dollars cheaper all 3 gigabyte boards I have are good. b250 z270 aorus z270 So his pick should be good. I ordered the gigabyte it is 349 at amazon I am going to put it in the katana build. card comes on thursday. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JD2OSX0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?I decided to standardize on Zotac 1070 Mini and Gigagyte Auros 1080ti for the NVIDIA farm. 4 rigs x 6 x Zotac 1070 Minis on a 1300w PSU (or 1200w x dual server PSU/pico/bb) 2 rigs x 5 x Auros 1080ti on a 1600w PSU (or 1200w x dual server PSU/pico/bb) MSI Z270A-Pro, LGA1151 Pentium G4560/ i3-7100, 4GB DDR4 on fullzero's nvOC Linux It will be a ZEC game all the way with this mini farm. Mining strategy: Rent all the rigs at Nicehash Equihash marketplace. Target ROI: 100 days or better.

I either rent to nicehash or mine skein at the moment I am renting to nicehash.

I either rent to nicehash or mine skein at the moment I am renting to nicehash. The double bonus season is rosy at the moment when you renting out your hash for BTC payment, since BTC has rebounded well after the market correction. I am still for ETH direct mining esp now USD$204 per ETH and if you have big enough hash, confirmations are still like clockwork at ethpool or dwarfpool. However ZEC pools are slow in my experience -- and i have tried them all -- I rather take BTC directly for a small fee by renting out at NH. Those Zotac Minis are quite good - not much bigger than RX470 - I am in the process of unpacking them now. Will post pix later.

Assuming your electricity price isn't that high, aren't the 1060 3GB by far the best value for Nvidia?
I am wondering why there is so much talk of the 1070s and 1080s?

space and cooling and power cost and resale value all factor in to my mining model. but 1060 6gb and 1060 3gb do work in some setups. lots of space cheap power easy cooling and you are correct. I got my one test 1060 3gb for under 180 usd it did 300 zec using 110 watts. @@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ test address please ignore Wallet: 1JdC6Xg3ajT3rge3FgPNSYYFpmf53Vbtje 1PQcjXGVQ8ytrt1hBdWZ8yfzk9Cfobwj3i https://blockchain.info/address/1PQcjXGVQ8ytrt1hBdWZ8yfzk9Cfobwj3i

Getting harder to keep track of every rig and Asics running in my warehouses.
I have 88 active IP nodes spread windows, linux and asics devices.
Anyone knows a good and "free" network tool to check hardware details of computers in a network/domain environment.
My current tool ... Advanced IP Scanner... has outlived its purpose.

Lansweeper. Free up to 100 devices. We use this in our IT department. https://www.lansweeper.com/thanks scryed -- I installed it and wow - very detailed information on my entire network and devices, esp Windows. It however was not able to pry into the Linux devices to see the guts of the Linux rigs - ie. motherboard, cpu, ram etc. This Lansweeper is probably Windows centric app.... or maybe I havent played with it enough yet....

It needs login access to the linux systems.
If all linux systems are the same password edit the global ssh from here: Go to Scanning->Scanning Credentials
If not you'll have to do credential mapping, set an ip range and then map a credential to that ip range.

@ scryed - thanks - done - very good this -- too bad only 100 free assets - not 100 free IP addresses LOL! @ philip - thats an awesome find - I got the other Gigabyte Auros type which is bloody expensive and price for this Auros went up too. The 6 x 1070 Zotac Mini is up and running - will post results later - too sleepy now.

Just received and got 2 MSI Aero 1080 ti going 3X 1080 ti running 2750 mhs skein on zpool at 4.6 mh/w what are your settings please and I sent a pm to you MSI afterburner settings are 80% power limit, +200 core clock and +200 Memory. Had problems getting all 3 of them to run same (finally figured out the cpuminer was using too many cores and choking the gpus). Will let it run tonight and play with it tomorrow to try and get 5+ mh/w. edit: That rate mh/w is from the miner. Not the wall. Also switched to mining ZEC at nicehash and getting 2100 sol/s with same settings.

Hey Phil sorry I meant to ask you this, when you orient left to right, what is the "front" of the rig which would dictate where left is the zotac mini goes on the edge give me a minute or two here you go thank you a lot for that, very helpful My next question is in regards to the SSD, is 128 rec.? What do you think about running nvOC on a 16gb flash drive?

Phil - are you using any kind of network monitor? Currently I just track by seeing if they are connected to Teamviewer and the ones on zpool just see if they are working on zpool wondering if you're using anything fancier. Teamviewer gives me a popup now EVERY time i connect to any of my computers saying I've been flagged for commercial use! I have it installed on 20 computers, and it is non commercial use but man it's annoying I need a better solution.
