This is not only related to the failure of the 22/23 season, but also to some of them having those offers from Saudi Arabia and also the need for a complete overhaul of the team. Yes it was a disappointing season for Chelsea football club and the rebuild has just commenced. Pochetino is a good coach, and he was signed after mutual agreement was reached, and i believe he can change Chelsea fortunes. Also, Chelsea are making excellent sales, they have a big squad and it is only normal to cut out and sell players who wants out or are excess.

The sale of Kante, Koulibaly, Harverts, Ziyech, Mendy and KOVACIC are excellent means for Chelsea to recoup fees and also offload their squad. The new coach gets to work with the new signings. remember chelsea signed up to 10 players in January

Some person might not have anticipated this move but like you said he could be that he feared he might be replaced by Pep very soon and the deal City has for him is just one year extension. Barca offered a better deal than City and he went for it. Gundogan will remain a club legend and he's leaving with his head up high. He has achieved so much with Manchester City and was also instrumental in their treble trophy glory. At 33, there is little time left for him to play football at the highest level and it's not a bad idea to try another league. Barcelona style of play will suit him and I hope he gets to win some silverwares with the catalans before he hangs his boot.

Chelsea still have many players and even I can say over stock, last season Chelsea spent about $600 million in 2 transfer windows total brought 14 players so even though some players left this season I thought it wasn't a big problem they already have a replacement and of course it can reduce financial burden. Mauricio Pochettino as a new manager but not a newcomer to the Premier League, he has more than 5 years of experience while handling Spurs and Southampton so now Chelsea will focus more on efficiency. What he (Lionel Messi) said/suggested is actually true… it's the bitter truth to the PSG owners and faithfuls. If Kylian Mnappe wants to win Big European trophies and personal accolades, his next destination should be Spain. PSG can dominate the French League for all they want, but they will never be a very big force in Europe for years like Real Madrid or Barcelona have been?

Mbappé was actually so stupid/greedy for money not to opt for Real Madrid last season. Real Madrid seems so reluctant this current transfer season. Maybe they are looking at next summer transfer season.
