Do you own the private keys to that address (19Bm9GAi1sMLcgPqtUg6UL6VgAKCQzesvP)?

No, thats why Im  like WTF Huh

What can i do here?
How is that possible? Join the Slack team.

The ICO is doing great with some funds collected, actually i can not quantify it in USD or Btc value due to diversities of different funds ranging from Crpto to fiats.
It's quite easy to calculate the total USD invested.

what do you call it when youre in a trip and your eth key file is on your main computer at home and you want to invest in an ico?

For some reason when I go to the site the amt of bitcoin collected doesn't show up but the other coins do, so calculating roughly using exchange rates from coinmarketcap and without the # of bitcoins added, i.e. this is only the altcoin count I get that NVO has so far raised about...
 $900,672 USD.

@Lauda, well it's not easy for everyone. If it's easy for you why don't you put a daily (total) amount on the website in USD?

Shows up for me and is currently at: 151.9138757 BTC
So yeah, add those bitcoins to the calculation Bkbirge made up there and you'll get a rough estimate with ofcourse 17 more days to go.
Interesting project btw I'll be sure to throw some money at it the coming days.

I too want to invest but what make this better than bitshares etc and also I think counterparty are making decentralised exchange. What will give NVO its edge over competition in your opinion?Thank you.

Counterparty have a built-in decentraliazed exchange, actually they are implementing LN and smart contracts.
NVO isn't a blockchain project, but wants to use what the cryptocurrencies have to offer in term of features. Most of the actual decentralized exchanges are semi-decentralized as they have to rely on a specific architecture. Or don't support offline trading. These will be solved with NVO.
Please check the whitepaper.

Thank you for your reply.Yes the whitepaper explains it in more detail.

It will be added halfway of the crowdsale, you are not that strong in mathematics (forgot the post), so i inderstand that you don't like to calculate it manually every day, be patient.

If I invest say, Bitcoin vs ETH is my investment based in USD at the time I sent it, is it based in USD at the time that this ICO is over or is it just based on bitcoins at the end/when the TX is from and you happen to accept other currencies that will be taken into account as a portion of a bitcoin at the end of the ICO (ex. I give 1 ETH and it tanks to 0.06BTC. Did I invest 0.09BTC[today's rate give or take] or 0.06BTC or $260 or $150?) With so many different currencies accepted it'll be good to know that 30 days later I'm getting the same deal as someone else got. Obviously we all know prices are all over the place so that's why I'm asking.

How to invest in NVO?

Optional steps:
This is only required if you don't already have a Bitcoin address to which you own the keys to.
Step 1: Download and install a Bitcoin wallet (Supported Ways of Generating an Address), e.g. Electrum (Electrum Installation Guide). Run it and back up your wallet!
Step 2: Generate a new address in your wallet and send the amount that you want to invest to it.

Mandatory steps:
Step 1: Register an account on the NVO website: https://nvo.io/register.php. If you've sucessfully registered, you will see this screen:

Step 2: Confirm the account by clicking the link that you've received in your email account.

Step 3: Log in: https://nvo.io/login.php
Step 4: Enter a personal Bitcoin address, one to which you own the private keys to (do not use exchanges, web services, and similar). This will enable you to see the Bitcoin escrow address and will generate an unique address for each coin.

Step 5: Depending on what you want to invest with, there are two possibilities here.
Step 5.1: If you are investing Bitcoin, then send from the personal address that you've previously entered.
Step 5.2: If you are investing any altcoin, then send to the addresses that you see in your dashboard. The tokens will be credited to the entered Bitcoin personal address.

Supported ways of generating a personal Bitcoin address:

Where to get help? (ordered by speed)

Note 1: All images are clickable and will lead you to the origin/they can be viewed in full size.
Note 2: This is open to suggestions and will change/update depending on those. The list of supported ways of generating a Bitcoin address will definitely update frequently.

I think I understand the funding process pretty well. I'm not familiar with how NVOT will be credited to my BTC address. They are two different coins, protocols and blockchains, right? Can you explain how this works? Is there going to be a wallet for NVOT and NVOS that we are suppose to use for this?

I'm dumb, need some clarifications.

The wallet will enable me to buy Waves assets paying in NVO tokens.
Am I allowed to buy Waves assets using another coin?

I guess the seller wants Waves for his assets.
The software automatically converts my coin in Waves?
If so how is the exchange ratio decided?

I speculate that the USD total will be used at some fixed time after the crowdsale has finished. This seems like the only sensible option that protects the team and does not require storing a lot of metadata.

Read the whitepaper. NVOT and NVOS are not coins, they are tokens. More specifically, NVOT is a counterparty token.

Anyhow, got blog bounty?
No.

How much total raised till now in terms of USD or BTC? Can you display it on homepage?  Its hard to calculate for NVO homepage as there are many alt-coins accepted.

i would like to invest in this interesting project but i had bad experiences (exocoin decentralized exchange, bitbay)

maybe i'll invest a little bit but,

- no roadmap update on the main nvo page

- linkedin pages , one not existent the other basically say nothing

- i would prefer a variable % of fund release at the end of crowdsale (30% of 1000 BTC is different from 30% of 10 BTC)

i have some days to think about it

Keep up the good job

156.7 * 2800 + 1720*30 + 121162*0.29 + 1286.3*265 + 628175*0.57 + 1260.4*147+102*5.89 + 974924*0.003616 + 1063*17.47 = ~$1 432 401.

Can you display it on homepage?  Its hard to calculate for NVO homepage as there are many alt-coins accepted.
It will be added soon.

- no roadmap update on the main nvo page
Why would there be any updates during the crowdsale? Strange.

Read the thread.

No. The escrow terms can not be changed once the deal has begun.

So, in my imagination the final product of this nvo software would be similar with exodus.io multi wallet right?
https://www.exodus.io/img/exodus-wallet-btc@2x.jpg

But with the main difference on the exchange part,
Instead of using shapeshift, it would use nvo validator and we will have UI just like polo/bittrex trading style (with candle stick chart, orderbook, etc) right?

Thanks

Hello, thank you for the question. In fact, NVO will allow assets trading, for now, you are seeing it from a centralized point of view.

The model of NVO is A sends to B, so if you have a Waves Asset, and wants to sell it for BTC, and found someone who wants your Assets and offers BTC, both will exchange asset for crypto.

It is as simple as that. The ratio is decided by the traders.

Just want to share with you from https://safenetforum.org discussing about NVO.

https://safenetforum.org/t/nvo-decentralized-exchange-crowdsale/13608/177

And the website says 160 BTC has been invested in this project already and other coins as well. Looking good.

I also want to know about the exchange part. If NVO used its own validator i think this is a good decision from them. I think Shapeshift has its own issues like the hacking incident, and its good to hear NVO not using it.

What is the significance of being paid in NVOS weekly that sells for a static $0.99 instead of being paid directly in the crypto? And when these sell for $0.99 with the option of being converted to BTC instantly. What if I decide not to convert to BTC and hold NVOS and the price of Bitcoin tanks then I sell my NVOS for BTC? On a large enough scale waiting to exchange NVOS in this scenario could result in getting more BTC than earned through fees. Would you be able to cover the BTC in this scenario?
