hi guys, do you think is wise to mine signatum till POS and keep the coins hoping its price get pumped?

i have a rig with two gtx 1060, two gtx 1070 and a gtx 1080ti and i dont know where to point it.

Powershell was exactly what i missed.

One more question, what do you use for '-interval 90 -Delay 1' values ?

I haven't used it for awhile, but when I did, that delay value wasn't in there, so i'm not sure what that does.  But for benchmarking I left it at 90.  When it came time to mine I changed it to 300.  I don't know what best practice is but I had read somewhere else that 300 was a good number.  It seems like with checking and changing algos every 90 seconds you might lose a significant amount of hashrate in transitions..

The answer is going to depend on whether you want to speculate or not.  Personally I mine whatever coin is most profitable at that time.  If I were mining coins based on the premise that they were going to be pumped, then I would just buy the coins without the hassle of mining.  That said, given your specs, sigt would be a good option if you are unsure of what to mine.

It is only anecdotal and i don't have any long term experience of the crypto markets but it is clearly apparent that, apart from a few outliers, most coins go higher faster and fall faster than BTC

This would mean less earnings in BTC on a fall/dip and more earning in BTC when it is flying high

Apart from the regular pump/dumps on arbitrary coins and the odd "fall through the floor" on some of the weaker alt-coins on deeper dips (so watch that floor Signatum guys), it would be easy just to suggest holding mined altcoins when BTC dips and enable autoexchange when it is has been flying high for a while

And what is bullshit? That 1080ti performs just as an old 7990? That much cheaper RX480/580 outperforms it?
Or that it is only 20-25% better than 1070 in cryptonight?

Currently running four 1080 ti's on one rig, waiting for my 2nd PSU to come in a couple days and will be installing my 5th. Will I have connectivity issues with the OS (Windows 7), having 5 running? Remember seeing somewhere people have issues after a certain amount of them not being recognized.

After the hurricane, we keep having brown outs and the power keeps going out for a brief second, sometimes its a couple times a day. What would you guys recommend to keep ~1000 watts running for at least a minute? I don't really know much about them and I don't want to get one too small or too big.

Sounds like you need a UPS - you should be able to get one used from ebay but make sure its AT LEAST 18-2000 VA+ (or a couple of smaller ones) to power 12-1500W- try a good manufacturer like APC

One of the most expensive parts of a UPS is the battery so normally i'd be cautious of a 2nd hand because of the risk of an ageing battery but for brown out/short loss support you should be good with any battery as long as its not a complete dud.

I used to power my gear when i lived in the wilds Finland (with VERY dodgy power) off a couple of 1500VA powered off 4xcar batteries and had backup power for 10-20 hours, but regular batteries may only last 10 or so minutes, which sounds enough for you

The other alternative is an inverter but i suspect that might end up significantly pre expensive than a used UPS
