Bittrex says something regarding coins that help science. XEL can help science in many ways! Maybe that will help get listed quickly and free

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

There is a thread for buying OTC if you look back through the last few pages:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1804795.msg17977039#msg17977039

Perhaps we could add it to the OP to make it easier to find for people?

Is there anything donation holders need to do other then hold and find the private keys?

Sign a message with the key and then input the solution into the wallet (see image on EK's post). EK posted about this on page 16 of this thread.

Exactly! This will give you your XEL. But select first from dropdown your donation.

Fantastic project, when will ICO start? I will invest many BTC into it.

You can buy Elastic on tomorrow from holders with OTC threads(or wait for exchanges listing). No more distribution. Donation ended on Aug. 2016
The previous one is only donation, not a crowdsale, it's totally different.

You find answers on thread ;

Donation Period & Coin Distribution

The donation period for Elastic lasted from 29 February 2016 to 19 August 2016, amounting to ~710 BTC.
The total supply of Elastic is 100 Million XEL and 100% of the supply will be distributed to donation contributors.
710 BTC is too little for this project, developers should have another one, or it's NOT fair for developers, if developers stop to do development, price will drop to Zero.

Devs have repeatedly said they dont care about that. What they value the most is freedom and autonomy to build this project the way they want, when they want, anonymously, with no restrictions.

Most of the members of this community respect that, at least I do. And I think they'll recieve plenty of donations once the litewallet launches. This will give them the captial to continue doing what they're doing with little expections and no foundation. This project has flouted the conventional way crypto projects are done from the beginning. They are working more in the spirit of Satoshi.

Can someone make a video showing the process of signing a transaction?

Not a video, but here is a picture. The signing process may be different depending on what donation wallet you used. In this example, I am using Electrum. You can Google search how to sign in your particular wallet.

Nice! Also if somehow has a wallet that doesn't support signing a message, and you have a private key uou than use also Electrum to import the address with your privatekey. You can than sign the message.

Thank you for the picture, that helps.  I used Blockchain.info so I'll probably have to use a different wallet.

Likelihood of developers stopping increases proportionally with all this annoying fund talk.

Other than that: I do not want to play any role in anything that goes beyond coding, but from what I read occasionally I would really suggest to improve the quality of the communication which goes outside of the project. If I didn't know better, I think I would get a pretty bad image of Elastic quickly.

EK, I fail to comprehend, why is it that people(you included) tend to give such weight and importance to the fraction who make negative/annoying/FUD like noise, where as the vast majority here, who are supportive/decent/positive do not really get the same attention/importance?

You, and the rest of the devs, and the project in general, are so highly valued by so many people here in the community (the vast vast majority), why not focus on them instead of the negative ones who are not worth the time/attention?

Please keep on seeing the good and positive in this community/project

Thank you  Smiley
