Thanks for the info A L I E N! I have just generated stake all of a sudden too. My giveaway will resume once everything is up to date. Make sure all your clients are up to date once this is is resolved.
Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

My bitbar daemon complains about not being 0.4.1. It's compiled straight from https://github.com/aLQ/bitbar. Where can I get the source for this elusive 0.4.1?

Same here and I have just started a giveaway  Shocked https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=238328.0
- no rounding for PoS blocks, to address low PoS diff and those small PoS rewards
What does 'no rounding' mean?

Also, how are you in contact with the dev? And are you allowed to give his details?

Hes on the forum, I contact all the devs of the coins I own.
Should be easy to find him "BitBardev"

I asked him what was up and that is what he responded.   I'm sure he will give more details but everyone deserves to know.

Awesome. I did try hard to find out who the dev was before but gave up (this was back when it launched).

Good news for BitBar that we have an active developer working on it!

Not everybody has their bitbar clients connected.
I think not everyone Know the 5% RoI on PoS.
That makes PoS difficulty is very low.
Low diff is why even small transactions can make PoS blocks after very small amount of time, and the reward is minimal.
rounding is up to 2 decimals, rounddown.  Super small rewards ale below rounding are not paid.

ex:

reward of 3.432353 is rounded to 3.43
reward of 3.439865 is rounded to 3.43
reward of 0.009234 is rounded to 0.00

I had asked him about this problem because I began getting zero reward PoS blocks like the following:

Code:
Status: 15 confirmations, broadcast through 38 nodes
Date: 6/17/2013 11:18
Debit: 0.00 BTB
Net amount: -1.58312 BTB
Transaction ID: 6a2daba54518ebb46851b4bfd006cbb1d58ed0a085831be0bd67938a57f797fa

So the update will have a fix for the PoS blocks that were rounding down to zero (those less than 0.01)

Another update from the Dev:

Quote
UPDATE 0.4.2
Posted Saturday, 2013-06-22
Everything worked OK with the 0.4.1 update, but it was just a first stage of a 2-step update that couldn't be done in single step to avoid risk of forking. Second phase was not planned so quickly, but there was another issue found buy no one else than the PoS Creator : Sunny King. thanks to his help and support, we was able to fix potential instability issue in the future. It was originally found and fixed by Sunny King in Novacoin, and was already implemented in BitBar, but He found we needed a different approach.
0.4.2 :
Sunny Kings's fix for P2Pool blocks modifier desynchronisation issue
Second stage reworking  of alert system. Now updated.
There is a mandatory redownload of the blockchain

Fantastic to see development here.  Keep up the good work guys...still holding onto my belief in this thing, prior to the exchange trades...this was worth quite a bit based on shear speculation...as long as we keep it going...maybe we can bring that value back.

Any ideas on making it more useful?  Anyone get the paper wallet running yet?

Gambling site maybe?

Please add more BTC here (my son will apprecciate it when he's older): 14WsxbeRcgsSYZyNSRJqEAmB1MKAzHhsCT

I need help with my client.  Downloaded the latest.  The original one never worked well.  Now this one is giving me issues.  I have like 15 clients and this is one of 2 that has issues.
It says it's out of sync but not updating.  And the bars at the bottom are green so I assume it has enough connections.  Is it working or not?

Delete everything in your /appdata folder except wallet.dat and restart the client.  This will re-download the block chain.

Seems to have corrected itself right now.  But I will follow your instructions if it happens again.
Thanks for the quick response.
