Whether this is good or bad remains to be seen. Network hash rate is steadily climbing, there is a creat deal of variation between the prices of other alts, and the pricing of bitbar. I made a comparison in a previous thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=198958.msg2080780#msg2080780This makes the total value of all PPcoins 47,901BTC, the total value of all feathercoins around 13,222BTC, and the total value of all novacoins around 12,043BTC. Currently, if we go by the exchange rate on bter.com (which is in beta and not open to the public), you've got a total value of all bitbars around 1,860BTC. Once again, this seems to be undervalued by about a factor of between 5 and 10. Putting the true price of bitbar around 3BTC/BTB, to 5BTC/BTB. Perhaps higher, though I'd like to be conservative at this point in time. Right now, bitbar is in beta trading mode at bter.com, one of the lesser known exchanges. Perhaps in a few months bitbar will be added to btc-e, a slow and steady rise to acceptance is what's needed. Hash rates seem to be increasing quite quickly at the moment. Probably due to the addition to the coin comparison. If bitbar remains on bter.com in beta then I would expect the hash rate of the network to bring profitability down. If bitbar is added to the default list on bter.com so that the public can access it, then prices should rise to keep it quite profitable to mine. There seems to be a lot of big miners who are betting on it. Then again, if bitbar gets added to btc-e, we might see some serious shit. |

Is that bitbar pool listed on the first post legit? With 60 hours worth of confirmations before payouts, I dont want to waste a bunch of time if its not legit.

Let's break down his allegations and put this to rest. 1. 60 blocks after the genesis block were premined This was indeed true, as a testing error. See here for more information, as well as the tester's admission of error. Those bitbars are being donated as a bounty towards the exchange. See the official launch topic here. I can improve the logo (turn into vector graphic for unlimited scaling without resolution loss) or redesign it with banners and slogans for some of that bounty. |

I calc the reward based on the last block reward from here - http://bitbar.info/stats/index.php. Is that not correct or updated? Is there another, more accurate, place to get the reward? |
