Thanks for your grace under fire, slush. With rewards failing to increment and noisy people calling you a thief, I bet a lot of people didn't quite know what to think. You could have flipped out and entered a flame war, or run away and hidden, and the fact that you didn't is what kept me connected to the pool.

And getting one big payout was kind of fun.  Smiley I may have to raise my threshold to 50 so I can simulate the experience of finding a block myself.

All of that plus a flood or possible attack on bitcoin itself to make your work harder.

Thanks slush for keeping it all working!

It's just not the same when you're consistently progressing towards a goal with a known finish time. Sleepless nights of wondering "did I find a block just now?" for the win!  Wink

dacoinminster, SunAvatar, thank you for your support Smiley.

Because payments are going well, I started automatic sending again. Block maturity checks and payouts are performed every hour at 0 min. First automatic payment will go at 17:00 UTC.

Slush,

Thanks for you all your hard work creating a fantastic pooled mining system.  I do have one request.

Can you create a way for users to view the raw data of their daily reward along with the systems daily reward?  I like to gather the data in excel form to create charts and also generate more statistics for my own use, and sometimes getting the numbers by highlighting the points on the graphs can be a frustrating process.

That's all, great service, I've been with you since the first slashdot wave and haven't had any complaints Cheesy

Yes, this can be possible, I'm writing it to my TODO list. As I'm rendering reward graphs in javascript, for advanced users there are those data available already. You can check html source of graph page; there are dates and rewards encoded as json arrays Smiley. Of course it isn't too much user friendly Wink

Today update:

a) Pool is accepting free transactions again, as you can see in blocks #114887 and #114890. Currently the limit is very tight, I'll monitor the situation and if everything will be allright, I'll rise the limit tomorrow. I'm especially waiting to next spam flooding to analyze logs for timings and latencies. I'm also sorry for higher occurrences of RPC errors and stale blocks in last two hours, I did few restarts of bitcoin backends.

b) Default Bitcoin client needs 120 confirmation for block to be valid, but only 100 confirmations are forced by Bitcoin network itself. Today I changed this rule, so pool is paying out blocks immediately after 100 confirmations. This improvement is targeted especially to impatient users Smiley.

That is great news. Hopefully that will clear up some of the backlog. Currently I have 2 transactions that have been stuck as unconfirmed for several hours.

Also your payment system seems to be working correctly again. I have received all the money owed to me from your pool earlier today.

If you don't mind, I will stay with Tycho's pool for a while. I've had very good payout there over the last 24 hours and I don't like to jump between pools too often.

Another question,

Invalid or stale blocks, how often are they expected to show up?

Les offten than you saw Smiley.

I analyzed overnight logs and decided to disable free relay again. I've new version of getwork patch, will test it today and hope that it will definitely solve this irritating problem.

Because the current bitcoin does not support block maturity after 100 confirmations, I temporary disabled this feature back, too.

Depends on pool's luck sometimes.
You can take a look at history here http://mining.bitcoin.cz/stats/?history=200 and watch for a right column.
Invalid blocks are mentioned as "invalid" instead of "confirmed" and there is no link to blockexplorer.

Welcome to my bitcoin mining pool: https://deepbit.net - Both payment schemes (including PPS), instant payout, no invalid blocks !

Well, I'm on day 12 now without a block @670 MH/s. Fortuna can also suck.

Due to troubles with bitcoin spamming I reverted half my power to slush's pool. Feels weird to be back after 6 weeks or so mining solo.

But also feels pretty safe and warm, just like home :p Steady progress has something soothing.

I hacked together a quick Greasemonkey script to extract graph data as CSV: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/99852

Click the export button, copy content, paste into a .csv file, and open it.  It's not as automatic as downloading a file, but it's better than converting a JS array to CSV by hand.

Tips are always welcome and can be sent to 1CZ8QgBWZSV3nLLqRk2BD3B4qDbpWAEDCZ

Thanks to ye, we have the final piece.

Where is the EXPORT button?

I tried all the pages in mining.bitcoi.cz, but can't able to find export button.

It should show up above each graph on the graphs page:

If it doesn't, verify that the script is installed and enabled.  If everything is set up right then it might be a bug in the script.  (But it's working for me...)

Today update:
I'm glad to announse that pool is finally using patched bitcoind and as far as I can say from few hours of monitoring, everything works well. Pool is definitely accepting free transactions with standard rules, effectively from block 115055 later.

Today I also fixed annoying bug in "connected workers" on stats page. Now it shows correct numbers all the time.
