Where do you guys setup your CC processors?
If you have all of the correct paperwork (And why wouldn't you) it only takes about 24 hours to get accepted, it takes longer to get your cart software working than it does setting up a merchant account.
Hell, if they got the paypal issue resolved they could literally apply for a PayPal Payments Pro account and accept credit cards directly through their website from them and this only takes like 5 minutes to fill out the form online and maybe 24 hours to get approved.
This is the easy stuff you go through when starting a business >.>
Not sure how it is nowa days, but last time I set up CC it was pretty thorough line of questioning. How long in business, what kind of business, products to be sold, anticpated avg transaction amounts (with range limits) and so on, then on top of that a new internet security questionaire that had to be filled out and completed on line to comply with new federal internet security measures....so who knows what they may be up against in that effort. Three weeks was the minimum for me with negotiating a processor and issuing bank. I had quotes from a couple. They all want to know what you are doing prior to pitching to you, which in terms of Bitcoin means explaining from ground up, which means in terms of pre-orders most issuing banks will say no thank-you, I imagine. This is not an easy situation to be in. Paypal hate Butterfly Labs. Ya, its all about the risk of charge backs, and when they mention Bitcoin, or Bitcoin Mining Machines" Im sure they will get a frown and a HUH?? from the banks...lol, big difference then saying ya, im opening a seafood restaurant etc.. avg check around 25.00 bux etc...and have been in the business for 20 years..... heh"

I've setup credit card processing on three different occasions with my current employer - that is correct, they ask for a lot of information and like reports of sales activity and estimations of sales expectations. But in just the last 3 years, this has now changed substantially, PP can be your credit card processor, foursquare could do it with a physical machine. The barriers to entry are not the same anymore. However, if you are looking to have a traditional payment gateway for ecommerce, that is still the same and will take time to process and setup. Of which herein lies the problem, Paypal don't want to handle worldwide ASiC pre-orders by the look of things. KnC had to bend over backwards to get Paypal on board. The effort was worth the value of the brand association as a payment processor. Same with Bitpay. BFL have promised for over a year now to ship orders, paid with Paypal and have been sh*t at customer service and support. A lot of BFL customers and pre-order customers in general on this forum are idiots that don't research. They are also impatient idiots who have turned to cry to Paypal when they don't get the response from BFL they want. On top of which eBay, who own Paypal have had to deal with numerous scams involving BFL and Avalon pre-orders. This they hate even more! It's why KnC offer to deal with verifying resales, to ensure no fraudulent sales occur using Paypal that might sever their relationship. This will be causing TH tonnes of aggro, so peeps really need to lay off TH whilst they sort this. If you want to get pissed off, direct it at BFL, and to some extent Avalon who have caused this mess!

Who here is letting terrahash host for you?
It's 16 cents per killowatt here, so I thought it was worth it for my single board.
Anyone know the details of their mining pool? Any fees besides flat monthly?
Will people who let terrahash host for them get their coins a few days earlier due to a lack of shipping?

Still waiting on a BTC refund here. I've been contacted for an address to send the refund, which is promising. EDIT: Actually, the refund arrived before I posted this message I just hadn't seen it yet. Cheers.

For me it was a combination of my own risk discipline, my existing commitment to Avalon hardware already, and my own delays in placing my order.
Once I saw where my small order was in the queue, it was more valuable to me to see if a BTC payment would be refunded than to see if I would be in batch 3 or 4. Which it was.

I didn't know for sure. I was going off the spreadsheet someone posted earlier in the thread which has some reasonable estimations.
