I did not feel comfortable ordering what I wanted to order, so I threw in a small order. Order #46X which is so far the lowest order number I have seen so far.
Same story here. ...particularly after seeing the shipping costs calculated.

damit only #4xx and #5xx orders ^^^rofl ^^ i ... was like 1-2 seconds after they opened ^^^
i think they started high. like in the 450's. any body know why? Same reason that your bank doesn't start your checking account with check number 0001. Makes people think you're established. Still no chip order pic?

Think they started order numbers at 450 or 460
If they started anywhere in the 4xx area that leaves me pretty happy at 518 and 646

Its called paypal + credit card. You won't get scammed unless you buy the monster one. With orders < $5000 it should be okay.

Actually noticed it was cheaper to have 2 separate orders of 3 and 1 K64s than just an order of 4. Expedited shipping was $200 for 4 or $100 for 3 and $50 for 1.

Ditto. Trust me I sell stuff on Paypal all the time there is little to no risk if within the first 30 days you file a claim. There is practically no protection for sellers it is all slanted toward buyers.

Agreed, Paypal plus AMEX = buyer protection. It's actually ironic how we're buying hardware to mine Bitcoin, but insist on paying for the hardware using traditional payment methods like paypal or credit card instead of bitcoin for protection. Until a payment processor pops up that offers buyer protection for bitcoin transactions, I don't think bitcoin will go mainstream.

Until a payment processor pops up that offers buyer protection for cash transactions, I don't think cash will go mainstream.
Now read it again. You don't give away cash to an un-trusted person unless you're willing to take the risk.

I doubt this really matters outside of the Wild West World of ASIC pre-orders. No one would be worried if they paid $1000 in BTC to walmart.com through bitpay.com
