I seriously hope they ship by payment time. Would be sad if a bunch of people just hoarding devices in their accounts get earlier access.

There's a time limit.

Does anyone know the power requirement for a K64? And, a K16?
Do these come with heat sinks?

128w and 32w

yes, but you will need 'cooling' as they put it, I would assume that means a fan like they have on the dx cases.

They said they came with heat sinks.

So if you have one of those large 10 board modules it will be 1280 watts. The fans and the power supply itself will take more wattage also. sort of like running a 1500 watt space heater 24/7. Not bad in the winter. I think I'll have them host it for now.

In my area they charge all sorts of fees. Like fuel adjustment charges, energy charges etc. etc. So last winter I used $20 worth of electricity to keep warm with a 800 watt space heater but ended up paying about $150 extra.

From BKKCoins to a question I asked:

So if Terrahash is starting to take orders tomorrow and you are no where near functional firmware and they expect chips in a less than a month, will they be able to deliver a functional product?

Bkkcoins:
Probably. Maybe. It should not take long to get the firmware functional now. But things can go wrong and if they do then it could take much longer. If the reports from burnin of the ASIC being very fussy about it's data clocking are accurate then there is a good chance that getting ASIC comm could take us off track. Any change that forces redesign will mean new boards and at least a 2 week set back. But we don't know that yet. I'll be testing ASIC comm. initially on a K1 as it's much simpler and so I can focus on just a single chip. One of the design faults of the ASIC as far as I can tell is that it doesn't provide a way to confirm data receipt (unless that is what one of the debug signals is for - but they are undocumented, and everything else is very minimally documented.) So the only way I know of now is to feed data that should immediately or soon after give a result and check for result data output. There could have been much smarter communication design but for whatever reasons we don't have that luxury here.

Yeah we already knew this when we placed our order.

I am under the impression its by queue number and not by payment.

Does this mean that they are queuing by payment time and not order #?

I have talked with Terrahash and you have 5-6 Days to Pay to hold your Queue Spot.

Terrahash can you please confirm/deny this or consider revising your que based on payment.

If not, than I am in the market for a sub 500 orders of if someone has them available and they are looking to sell and will be canceling my current orders as soon as I find them.

Even if Terrahash allow people to hold their own Queue Spot for a few days, how does it mean that they agree the selling of Queue Spot now?

+1

I have an unpaid order #45x for a DX-Large 10 Module with PSU that I probably won't be able to purchase if anyone is interested.

This should still be in the first batch of shipments.

That's 640 chips, right there...

absurd.  Here's to hoping they sort by payment and not order (which would only make sense anyway).

Agreed.

terrahash, it would be nice if the order queue was sorted by payment time instead of by order number. A lot of other companies already do this because an order is not final until you pay.

I doubt they would be able to determine whether an order has been paid for by the original purchaser or not and even if they could somehow do this I'm sure it is not a priority at the moment to weed those out.  This is why I as well as every other paying customer find this method of organizing orders so ridiculous.

Just noticed something:
If you choose to buy just 1x K16 board and select some other country (not USA) your only shipping option will be: "TerraHash Hosting".
Maybe you have to buy for more than 250$ for them to send it internationally?

Shipping to Canada also comes up as 50 dollars for a K16.
