Now a days rap is a social disease. As a human being we should carry our rules and regulations. But some stupid people who want to get sex in his own way without permission some of innocent guys. It's totally wrong procedure and we call it rap. Rapist should take under the law and give him the highest punishment of the country as well.

for me the appropriate penalty for the perpetrator of a rapist is shot at the head of the perpetrator's vital organs. the reason is to make the perpetrator immediately died immediately. Besides the punishment of the head of the organ, some of the rape will be mutilated slowly.

I am a strong supporter of the death penalty, but in this case I believe that it may be too lenient. Death by hanging or electric chair is relatively easy and everything will be over in less than one minute. However, their victims don't have that choice. They will suffer from discrimination and mental trauma for the rest of their lives.

This one is tough because punishment for rapists varies. Somehow, it depends on the belief and culture of a race. As a predominantly Catholic nation, it is widely believed especially the clergy that death penalty is inhumane. And since my country is a member of the Optional Protocol, we are still committed to the abolition of death penalty. Instead, it is replaced by reclusion perpetua, 20-40 year imprisonment. However, there is a death penalty bill filed in the Congress in 2016, which was approved on first reading. Although it takes a long process for it to become a law, I believe it is worthy for a debate. Right now, I support life imprisonment as punishment for rapists. But, something must be done so that they will feel remorse while in jail. In case death penalty bill pushes through, the judiciary must be reformed first so that no abuse of any law will be committed and to speed up court trials. The state of prisons and jails must be improved and prisoners must be treated equally too.

I believe that a life behind bars, specialy if you are a known rapist (jailmates don't go easy with thoses dudes) is waaay worst that death penalty, so I'd go for that.
