Hi Guys, I will buy some vega 56 or 64 on amazon, Any tips for brands or partnumbers for increase the possibility of getting an vega with Samsung memory ? Thanks The question is which card will you buy, I mean is it reference version or version form asus and sapphire, cause they are different from each other? I have vega from gigabyte but that is simple reference version build by amd. I was lucky to have Samsung memory on that board.. Hi ivakar, Thanks for help, I just thinking for the reference version too, that had the turbine cooler, could it increase the possibility of have samsung memory? Could you send the link of amazon of your card? Thanks All reference Vega (56/64) [Don't matter ASUS/Sapphire/XFX/Gigabyte/MSI] pretty much have Samsung memory since other PCB manucfacturer aren't even gearing up to produce Vega PCB back then; For aftermarket Vega design (Strix, Sapphire Nitro+, Red Devil, Air Boost), you are likelier to find Samsung memory on Vega 64, and Hynix memory on Vega 56.

Some guide questions listed below should help: 1. Are you sure that you did overclock them correctly? Seems like they are at default clock settings. 2. Did you install the soft power play tables? This is a must for maximum profitability too 3. What driver version are you using?

Built a 6 gpu vega56 rig recently with powercolor red devils. Hynix HBM. Kinda wish I'd just spent the extra $150 per gpu for vega64 asus rog. Half my cards wont get over 880mhz without 2-3% invalid results. Increasing voltage w/OverdrivenTool doesn't help. Temps are great. Adrenaline drivers. 1650 h/s.

Hi guys,
anyone knows if PowerColor 8 GB Radeon RX Vega 64 Devil HBM2 PCI-EXPRESS Graphics Card could be samsung memory? or will be silicon lotery? xD
Most likely that will be Hynix. Most of my Vega PowerColors are hynix and seeing that is a "Devil" it means that it is aftermarket. All aftermarket VEGAs have a high chance of not having Samsung memory. If you want Samsung memory then you will probably have to buy 2nd hand reference models of those Vegas.

No, please provide with info how to do this. 3. Blockchain drivers, I tried new drivers but my cards was crashing like every few hours with them so I stick to blockchain. I also tried flashing them to bios 64, but that again didn't work well they were crashing for some reason. Do I need to flash them again to 64? Thanks

I have an issue with my 6 card ref vega 56 @ 64 rig. Everything work well for hours or day(s) long until the fan speed of 1 card drops to 7-800 rpm, then the cast-xmr stops, sometimes freezes. I've experienced this before on a completely different rig as well.
Did anyone experience something similar? Any ideas?
Win-10, blockchain driver, asus h270-plus mobo, PPT mod.

Possible sources of error; V64 system, two cards, V54 system, 8 cards. 4 to 1 difference in power you are trying to calculate, 4/1 error factor. Is this two rigs or one? or more? You ARE running the V56 core at higher voltage than V64, 900mV versus 890mV. Not much maybe but it adds to the problem. You have the fan target at different temps. You have the power target at different powers. So you're not comparing like with like. Baz
