What is going on with all the eXXXX (eBTC, eLTC, eNEO, etc) air drops in the front page right now? It's cheapening the concept of air drops. New people are going to see DeepOnion air drop and not even click on the link because they'll think it's just another air drop.
The more astute will probably notice that we're 3 months into airdrops and they're just DeepOnion clones  |

All these threads with etokens are spamming bitcointalk today. I hope in the end people won't fall for them and get involved into real project with real development like ONION. I'm really looking forward to test DeeoVault, looking forward to test it. Take your time though dev team, we don't want rushed features! Yeah there are so many of them I saw like 5 today. I registered to all of them but who wouldn't want free coins just for filling the form.  But DO is in my heart and I won't abandon it. I'm just going to make my money off these free e-airdrops and be happy with it.  |

It's very confusing though. My wallet is out of sync and don't even know how to sync it.
- Open wallet
- Check the bottom right corner where you have the signal bar. Hover the mouse and see how many connections you have
- If after 5 minutes you have 0 connections, try to add some nodes to the .conf file - you can find details on the first page of this thread
- If this does not work, ensure that you have TOR ports unblocked on your firewall
- If this does not work, TOR is probably blocked by your ISP or country. You can use a VPN to circumvent this block but be warned, using VPNs in some countries is illegal and DeepOnion cannot advise using a VPN in such circumstances
Thank you. Added more nodes to the created config file. Now the siganl bar keeps alternating from only 1 active connection to deeponion and then goes back to 0. |

That should be good. It should connect to the Tor network soon. One last thing and promise I wont bother you anymore. How often should one backup the wallet in the file-> backup? and is there anything else one should do to ensure walllet keps fucntioning. |

The more astute will probably notice that we're 3 months into airdrops and they're just DeepOnion clones Their not even DeepOnion clones. They are literally coins whose innovations are that they have 21,000,000 coins just like Bitcoin, but run as a token on Ethereum, Waves, Neo, etc. That's it. |

FYI guys, as I see this URL being thrown around A LOT - https:// onionfaucet. win runs a MONERO mining script on your unsuspecting PC while on this page. CPU usage blew up to 80% while on it. Worse is that they didn't even have the decency to tell you they're running it without your knowledge, but its for another coin!!
Wow thank you Monkii for bringing this to my attention. I was wondering why I got bitcoin miner notifications for malware in my cache on that site, and now that i have closed the tab my cpu is way down. Robbing my cpu for their own good... shame. This faucet should be closed, and whoever the creator should be banned from deeponion in my opinion. To anyone, please while you are browsing please check if your CPU usage suddenly grows beyond 70%. If it is then you might be mining for someone else. Be careful |
