You probably need to hold it down,  don't let your emotions drive you. Even if the price goes down, hold it even more. Just wait for the time that the price will goes up. It will go up surely because just like any other currencies they go up or down. You just need to wait and you should invet in a greater coins. Coins that have a potential like bitcoins.

If you will set a goal and you want to earn more you would need to have a more systematical approach on achieving it. And holding as a part of investment and earning you should learn to save and hold until the value of bitcoin reaches your target price and then do trading where you can earn more by simply buying when its low and selling when it is high. Waiting is a better option here but if you feel that the price is taking some zigzag moves, I say just take the advantage of it by selling a bit higher and buying back at the "dumps" you are talking about. Check the levels and patterns as well as what the indicators show and do accordingly.

Yeah! You are right. Holding is highly beneficial only when prices are dumping. You need to be patient at that time. Soon the prices raise, that’s a golden chance to cash your bitcoins or to sell them off for grabbing more coins. If we talk about current scenario, holding is the best option. Prices are on the way to touch sky and after the implementation of Segwit; prices will raise more than they ever had. After Segwit, it would not be really nice to hold on bitcoins.

You are aware about the situation called as segwit2x splitting. If you do then that is main reason for fall of prices in the altcoins. Almost every coin is falling down and you will never know when they are going to come up again. It is possible that after the matter is resolved for segwit then the prices will start jumping one more time, so you better hold your coins.

The reasons for holding when the price is down is to avoid losing money, if you sell when the price is lower than what you bought then you lose money, unless you think the coin is going to completely disappear then selling at that point is not justified since the price will most likely recover in the future.

The reasons for holding when the price is down is to avoid losing money, if you sell when the price is lower than what you bought then you lose money, unless you think the coin is going to completely disappear then selling at that point is not justifies since the price will most likely recover in the future.

yes i strongly agree on you..it is a big mistake if we dont hold and sell it in a  low price.we should have to hold it.in a long run and sell it in a right time.

Its about the patience to hold and the self control not to panic. If you said that the coins haven't moved positively after you made the purchase in polo, then logically, the best thing to do is wait and hold instead of selling at a lower price. Once you're into trading, you should have patience.

Several bad news have appeared in the last weeks, a hacker stole millions of dollars in ETH and it is believed this crashed the price of electrum, some darknet markets were seized, and a hard fork called BCC is going to appear at August first, so it is not really a surprise the markets are not in the best possible shape.

In every investment that we are going to choose in whether bitcoin or altcoin there is a risk involved most often. Now if you are willing to hold in a long term or short term something whether an altcoin or bitcoin,  it means you need to wait for it to resume the original price value. In short, patience is most effective way to gain big profit in a long term holdings.

I do hold an altcoin if:
1. have enough funds.
2. potential coin prices such as ETH, Doge, LTC etc. are down.
3. have data analysis of the coin.

It all depends on you. If you're afraid to hold your coins because you're believing that it'll only make your loss bigger then i advice you to sell what coin you're holding right now to get back you some of your investment atleast. However, if you have trust on the coin you've invested in, then hold it. It's worth the shot. Altcoins price alsi has the probability that its price will rise. I can see that you're truely new to trading because you're asking this kind of question. The first thing you should have done before investing to random altcoin is search. You should have done some rrsearch about ther developer and staffs and about the coin itself. There you will know if the coin has the potential similar to what bitcoin and etherium have.

Don't sell your coins. When you invest, do you identify long-term or short-term investment?
That will help answer your question easier.
If long-term investment you don't need to worry about its current price, and if the short-term investment then you should sell and reverse the portfolio to keep your money safe.
