From my exp. I see any coin can survival will recover. Hold always win but If you see any deal better just sell all to invest then buy back later

I suggest to hold your coins until it reaches the amount that you buy with it's original price that you bought or maybe higher than that amount for you to gain profit. I believe that bitcoin still reaches their recent price even bitcoin today is decreasing. Bitcoin will still recover it's price.

I agree, maybe by holding a coin until the original price will be able to reduce the value of the loss you will experience, but if you have a strong belief in the price increase it will be better to hold it until it reaches a higher price than the previous purchase. Currently bitcoin is still in recovery phase but remain optimistic maybe in the next few weeks the price will increase again.

I think if you hold it and keep waiting for the price to rebound it may take a long time, but if you believe it will get back to the starting price you bought or it could be more improved it is better, but there are times when we have to face some risk by selling it and wait for the price to get to the lowest point and start buying it again at a cheap price and hold it for sale when the price goes back up, that's what I do if the price goes down I take some losses to make a profit

Some traders are playing safe, some of us are selling their bitcoin immediately just to not lose their bitcoin, they we're always selling it once they buy with a lower cost and sell it with high amount, with that case they can gain profit even if in small amounts. It is still safe to do than to risk.

I will advice you to just hold on to your coins if you are not making any profit, you shouldn't sell for a loss, unless sacrificing for another coin. By the way, you shouldn't panic since you are not the only one making a loss. If the coins that you have invested in go down in value, you shouldn't panic and sell them, rather buy more. If they recover, you will make so much profit. It happened to me the other day, I bought some coins on bittrex with higher values and days later they crashed to lower values, but I didn't sell. I even  bought more coins and from now I will be holding and hoping for the best. Just hold.

Need to research what altcoin you are holding some of the coin with rise again even higher than you bought before but the most danger situation is they gonna to delist some of altcoin like previously they delist sdc which I almost buying with 5btc luckily i didnt do it.

altcoin is indeed a very unpredictable coin. sometimes the coin from the beginning is well managed but in the end the coin is of no value. This is what sometimes makes many people fear to invest in altcoin.

It depends upon you, if you really need that money you will probably sell it out evennif it is on a pow price as you expected. But my piece of advice, just hold it as pong as you can if you do not have a thing to spend with. Your money will always grow after that time. We all know that the value of altcoins are high when your coins are not distributed yet but if it is been sent to your account, the price will going to bw too much low. But after a couple of months after all those who sell their coins, the value of it will rise trust me.

Do not ask the reason why you need to hold a Altcoins that has fallen into price. Because you know the answer to your question first. Why do you need to hold? Because if you sell it a fallen price. The more you reduce your bitcoins so you need to hold it until it returns to the price you purchased. That's why many people are why they lose money in trading because they have no patience. I have experienced it so I know it.

Personally I always like to HODL eth. With alts I pick a price I would be happy selling at and if it reaches it I sell.

There are a lot of coins in my investment portfolio. And some of them have become cheaper, and some have grown significantly. I advise not to worry, because, all the Crypto currency is growing, even despite fluctuations

I am assuming that you have invested based on your research and if that is the case then you should hold it for some more time. Ultimately it depends on your risk profile that up to what extent, you are ready to bear the loss.

I remember a few years ago, I made an investment in one alt-coin and within a week I was in 35% loss but as the amount was low and there was a research behind that investment decision, I decided to hold it. Then in few days, I not only covered the loss but also made 10%+ profit without changing anything in that investment. However, each case is different and should be assessed with a different approach.

I always suggest holding coins when they are in dumping phases because it is pretty obvious in the crypto market trend that the dumps are followed by pumps. I will also recommend him holding his coins in wallet and forget them for some time. This will help him to stay calm and ultimately he will end up with profit.

There are many traders want take their profit in Bitcoin with rate $5,000/BTC, this is reason make the price of Bitcoin has trouble for increases to this target. Of course, if the demand of investors enough for create a strong bullish, we can breakout $5,000 easy, however, we do not have whales want to pump Bitcoin reach to that price.

Absolutely agree! Bitcoin will hit $5K milestone again with a natural growth and still, we will have volatility around that price level. However, considering a long-term scenario, I think we might face less volatility in price due to increased awareness among the Bitcoin users and there will be less panic selling effect on the price like the one in the above-mentioned incident.

Expect that there are more people who's been willing to hold since they might lose there capital for buying bitcoins on its topest price last week or months, But let's prolong our patience unto this since this is just a trial for bitcoins dominance and for sure bitcoins will regain back its rythm and rise for even more in the future.

Actually none can say you what you do.because people dont know which coin you will buy. its depends on your tradding analysis.And you must need to know that their is gurantee in alt coin investment.But in my experience if you want to get profit you must need to hold after buying any coin.

There has been a lot of hindrance to success but crypto currency are stonger and it was able to surpass that, we are going to be successful as big investors are jumping into crypto, or course you cannot avoid that some influential people making a negative statement about crypto and they are just trying to trick us to create panic because the real thing is they want to ride with crypto to the moon. Just recently Jamie Dimon CEO of JP Morgan said that bitcoin is fraud and the price really dump but look where we are heading now, the uptrend started and it's going to break another ATH.

If I have an extra budget for my family needs.I will hold my bitcoin because bitcoin price is going higher.And bitcoin now is very nice to invest so that ai can earn bitcoin and save more.After longtime that bitcoin is very expensive.I will sell it so that I can profit big amount of cash to start a bussiness to have a stable income for my kids future.

i think yes that will be a right decision,  because most of the investors are expecting about bitcoin that its price will continue increasing and will surely will reach to 8000$. therefore to me i think we should hold our bitcoin try to manage our needs from some other sources, because i think that we should not lose the present opportunity and should try to invest more money in bitcoin.

I think their target is $ 10000, this will be a long-term trade. it would be great to buy it now and hold it until 2020.

For me due to continues fall down of bitcoin price, I think it's better to sell it before it's too late. Because I'm just thinking that bitcoin value was continuously declining this month. But if you want to hold it for a long time due to trust in bitcoin it's up to the owner.

Your idea may be right but I’ll go for holding the Bitcoins for a little longer. This is true that market price of Bitcoin is decreasing in this month; if you sell your Bitcoin right now you are going to suffer a huge loss. You need to have patience and wait for the right time to make out as much money as you want.

I think we should always use first technical analysis in daily chart to decide to sell or hold. because when we bought in high price then the price trend changes from up trend to downtrend will be very risky to hold it, for the better cutloss to minimize loss. and we buy again when the price is really oversold. because the crypto fluctuation is so high, so cut loss is better than just hold that we dont know when the price goes back up again.

Its good that you have diversified your portfolio so that all eggs are not in one basket. A particular coin may flatter but investing in many coins will yield you good results provided you have invested in right coin. Also keep in mind that mostly value to altcoins depends upon btc, if btc moves up they also tend to move and other way around.
