I have recently took investing on poloniex serious. Ever since I've invested the alt coins have been down. Do the amount of coins I posses go up if I stay. Also, do I have to wait for the coins to go back to their original price that I bought fo in order to make a profit? What are the reasons to holding if prices are down? Thank-you.

Yes if you'll stay chances of making profit is high. Thats how trading works, you only need to wait for the price to get up higher than the original amount when you bought. Dont just sell those coins if it came back to its the same buying price you did. Sell when it has increased 5% or more.

I really don know also the reason of bitcoin going price down,All I know that holding butcoin is good because in due time btc will be in a high price and you can have a big amount of cash.And you will hit also a big cash.If you save you will earn,also if you invest.This is better to anything else because i can earn mone at btc.

The reason market prices go down is because Bitcoin will split and this makes investors fear but don't worry if you keep altcoin.

Do not lose hope. Just keep holding it will be worth it. Its price will pump soon. Investing your coin in poleniex will surely give you a high profit when it pump in an unexpected dayz if I were you ill keep holding till its price pump.

yes but I think it is just a temporary decrease and hope that very soon we will see the price of bitcoin start increasing. we can see that there is still a good support to bitcoin from investors side. and hope that they will never let bitcoinp price to decrease from 1800$ level. and hope that from that point it will start increasing again. and will  very soon cross 3000$ level.

It is depends on what coin you bought, some of the coin will keep on dropping and will never recover, some of the coin will be back, but judging from this current situation it will be really difficult to bounce back for alt coin, but some of the alt coin like eth or ripple or litecoin will be up again, but it will take time and this time it is going to be a long wait

It is because of the news and announcements about the segwit and the split happening on August 1. Many people are really worried if what will happen in that date and after that date. Many people are selling their coins and some have converted their bitcoin to fiat money. I have also converted some in case that the price of bitcoin drops which I strongly wish not to happen and also because I needed some money. The price of bitcoin is dropping and many are worried, including me, that the price will dump to a very low value.

I just hope that whatever may happen in August 1 will not cause big problems to everyone.

People here have gotten far too spoiled in terms of returns. 5% is a fantastic profit margin, especially when you have managed to achieve that within a full week. If you look at the average returns of most of the non crypto investors, people are very satisfied with returns in the range of 5-10% annually. I remember when I was doing some occasional stock trading years ago. For me a fantastic annual return would be close to 20%, and a decent return was more in the range of 10%. All with a well diversified portfolio. Look at what people generate with saving money -- in most cases it's less than 1% interest. Nah man, 5% is fantastic.
