They stated 50 max order on their site . . but for orders larger than that to contact them so who knows what happens / limit / possible discount at that quantity O_O

Interesting. I was able to do 100 from the first offering without any limits. They are definitely not offering any discounts - even for purchases of 100 units right now. The demand is simply too high. Also, I suspect that this batch was simply the leftovers from batch1 that didn't pay. This happens all the time - people add to cart and checkout, but fail to pay and then Bitmain offers them up again on the market. I'm guessing they had 1000-2000 units and a few hundred fell through, hence the same shipping date and price.
Thanks for the input, interesting idea and it makes sense to me O_O
Where are you located / on an order that size do you get slammed with import duties?

How is gona raise difficulty with one unit if it has 15MHS? If dificulty is 500k, with one D3 gona be 515k?

Also, anyone speculate on price vs difficulty relationship? Using LTC as a reference over the past 3 months diff went up 3x and price did the same (roughly speaking). Does price follow difficulty in general?

Yes, import duties suck. We're in the Midwest (US).

What does Bitmain report the value as normally? France is really bad about holding stuff to figure the value.

I had a Pinida DR3 I bought used from the US, UPS kept contacting me and aggressively asking the value. Saying that customs was holding it. After a months investigation, turns out it was all a lie, most likely a UPS employee stole it, customs never held it. They were trying to get me to declare a low value on the items. Nothing but lies and misleading from UPS. I'm suing them after we finish speaking to UPS US. What's worse for them, is I studied Administration and logistics and I have a drop shipping business. I won't use them ever again, in my business or if I go back to import/export. UPS tried to screw me to save 1700 euros and have no idea how much it cost them in the long run.

If you read this UPS, I'll only forgive you if you get me 2 Bitmain Antminer D3 lol.

Bitmain has always posted the same price on the customs forms as shown on the website (in USD).

I wonder if I have to pay the full 21.5% on that. VAT is fucking insane. Sales tax should never exceed 7%.

noob

noob

I think it's worth pointing out that these noob spammers should be avoided like plague. Even if they agree to hold funds in escrow for two months there are still many ways how this could go wrong. Just don't.

yes it is.

If you imagine LTC for example. People were mining with hashpower ranging 100-250mhs , and then came the L3+ with 504...

Which is double but still in good range..

With Dash, people's standards was to mine with 150-900mh/s .... And suddenly 15,000mhs machines come out. All those Genesis people that paid mhs as gold with Genesis, will be making maybe 5$/month with their 400mhs... It's sad... But that's life.

I also personally do not think it is worth for anyone to purchase anything from a 3rd batch that might be for October. You will need 3 machines to make what 1 made in Sept. Thats my opinion of course but it makes sense...

Yeah. I almost did not get this one. But am desperate for equip to keep nice IRS man at bay.

But my view is probably 10-12 month roi. What I'd buy stuff at in jan at 4.15 ltc for
Script asic's.  Time to go back to modest expectations. I figure this batch 2 unit will
at worse fall about in that area. As to others, not sure, it's gonna be an epic difficulty hump.

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

Do you really think that the d3 will be useless after the first batch is pluged in? It will make less than a L3+ does now?!?

I think people with the first batches will be able to make 3000-5000$us for the first month of use. Then it will drop fast to 2200$ then 1500$us etc...

This is why im saying, that the 3rd batch from Bitmain will be useless. Even if you buy 10 machines, you will end up making 10k a month or something.

Imagine now, the difficulty is at 300,000-500,000 . And this is the result of hundreds of miners mining with 150mh/s , 300mhs and 900mhs miners mostly...

Imagine now , you have over 600 machines deployed in september, and each deliver not 150, 300, or 900 , but 15,000 mhs each.....

Go figure....

Feeling bad for USA people who are still sleeping as the sale was around 6-7am their time....

Congrats to those who were able to get some

I think that that will be it for the D3. As i believe that if there is a third batch for october, you will need to buy 3x D3 in order to reach the performance that 1 would have in September... And it goes on..

Was awake all night waiting for them, grabbed 6 Smiley

Tens of thousands of miners. From DR2 to Baikal Giants. They will mostly drop out when difficulty hits 2 million. I think the difficulty will spike, but not as fast as you think. According to suprnova the global hashrate is over 12 million megahash. If we assume an average of 450 Mh/s per miner, that makes around 27,000 miners that will become obsolete. If the first batch is 2k units and 15k Mh, global hashrate will triple to 30 million if all legacy miners drop off.

2000$ and 1500$ is not bad for a 2500$ miner.

People still buy the L3+ for October for 1700$ or pay premium to get them now when they make what 1000$ profit in ltc per month.

Plus maybe the lower the price for the 3rd batch if it ships later than 18th-30thj September like they did with the 2nd batch of L3+
