There was a coordinated fudding in the SIGT discord channel today. They timed it during the mad rush to withdraw from Cryptopia and the attack on the master nodes. Good thing Doc fixed everything immediately when the attack occurred.

The dedication of these fudders to discredit SIGT and the attack that occurred makes me think they smell gold at the end of POW.Only 10 days left unitl pure POS.

Many thanks to Doc and the dev team that kept the network humming. They worked behind the scenes so we can all get our stuck SIGTs in Cryptopia. Thanks also to the techs of Cryptopia for working hard so we can withdraw our SIGTs. This is a good day to be thankful.  Smiley

Now, lets see what happens when POS arrives. Smiley

@fork farytale believers

cwi pool is synced too and mining block 86942

http://pool.chainworksindustries.com/sigt/index.php?page=statistics&action=pool

This is the link you just posted. That is 5 hours of mining orphans.

And it's a pool that handles ~ 1% of the total SIGT hashrate. Show me another pool that has that many orphans. You can't because there isn't one.

Besides, my understanding (which may be wrong) is that forks occur when pools are running different versions of the software & with different ledgers. Since these are orphaned blocks,  can there really be a fork?

EDIT: My bad, that was from chainworkindustries.

Orphans blocks were due to network congestion, that's all. No fork

Can someone explain me something

How did we get from rage on Cryptopia to the point where we talk about SIGT fork?

No fork.
There are so many orphans blocks due pool's nodes were behind (slow network due attack).
So it's normal situation. There will be orphans when other synced pools outrun you.
Everyone is aware of that who knows how blockchain works.

It is really simple.

You have small number of legit nodes with good blockchain.
You have desynched pools and miners connected to them wasting mining power.
Summary: you have lots of orphans.

Just wait until most network nodes synchronize and point your rigs to something usefull meanwhile.

This is a combination of:

Off-loading blames + Conspiracy + Self interest + Business + Signatum haters

The largest Signatum pool Suprnova has been flawless all the time. How could they handle it if there was a fork or something wrong with the wallet?

Actually if you look back in the posts i pointed out another pool earlier with the same problem. But it looks like it is limited to the
smaller mining pools. Since then I looked at the three largest ones and they don't appear to suffer from orphans.

We are surrounded by legends on this forum. Phenomenal successes and catastrophic failures. Then there are the scams. This forum is a digital museum.
