Now we just need an Android dev to create a mobile thin client.

Thank you man... It was late at night :-D and i messed up the ports Heres the right announcement: Pool is runnning great, but more hashing power is needed to find blocks: crypto-coins.de:8908As usual for P2Pool, just Point your miners on the above adress using your Wallett Adress as Username and a random passwort Example: cgminer.exe --scrypt -u Wc27kGnE5nHa2tvhmsCVTb3uCic3fZsDa4 -p hsdrtu89dfgdhfg8 -o crypto-coins.de:8908 See stats at www.crypto-coins.de:8908Pool Fee ist 1 %

Guys this is important, please read and don't ignore!
To prevent the blockchain splitting in 2 we need to be really careful about how much hashpower a pool has. I know typically it's the 50% figure pools try to avoid but for 15 second block times like WorldCoin even 40% of the network hashrate could be too risky. I am just pulling numbers out of thin air here, so someone else can feel free to add to this, but I am thinking a pool should shut down registrations at 30%... or even limit mining at 30%.
This won't be a problem once more and more pools spring up and the hash power becomes more distributed but right now this is an issue. I know mining pools want as much of the network hash as possible so they collect more fees but if they have too much hash power it will come at the expense of damaging WorldCoin which in turn damages their profits.

why would it hurt profits if there purpose is to maximize the amount of fee's? it's not like there is a shortage of pump and dump clone coins out there.

Very valid point ! I have used this pool, which is currently running under 10%, it has worked nicely and might be a good option if pool you use is getting too popular and risk the blockchain. I'm sure more pools are coming but at the moment WorldCoin is just taking its very first steps and needs some nurseing.. http://wdc.allpoolz.com/

[ FAQ about WorldCoin (WDC) Last Poster: SolidSnke in WorldCoin on May 21, 2013, 10:22:56 am What is WorldCoin?
WorldCoin is designed to be the digital currency of the future. WorldCoin runs off the popular scrypt protocol which enables it to have stability for early adapters and users by operating from regular existing computer hardware. At the forefront is our blazing fast speed. Your transaction will be fully confirmed in about 60 seconds or less. ]
and that imbecile call that "digital currency of the future" when you can not even have a p2pool.exe for windows user.

Pool operators who won't limit users just care about their own short-term profits rather than the health of the currency.

I'm confused by this post. Is he saying WDC is lousy because it doesn't include p2pool.exe? I can't think of any coin that has ever included that.

Apparently, and most of its miners has moved to worldcoinpool so the hashrate is near 1 GH/s now. Not good.

I can't think of any coin that has ever included that. having no windows support for p2pool does not make he coin itself lousy.. the coin is great but... it would be great to have "p2pool --worldcoin" option.. as far as I understand, there are 2 files in github (nets something) which need to be edited with worldcoin information and compiled for windows. I'm no expert on this matter, but have 20 coin donation for developers willing to look into it. (it's not much, but multiplied with the number of potential generous users, I'm sure it makes a decent reward. )

Right now http://www.worldcoinpool.com/ has 2/3 of the network hashrate and growing.

How much are those coins you are spending your precious hashes on going to be worth if something really bad happens to the blockchain. Shouldn't have to spell this out but I guess most people really are dumb. Same applies to the pool operator... the term killing a golden goose comes to mind. This shouldnt be a problem in the future when the hash power gets distributed over more pools but for now this important... with 15 second blocks we need to spread awareness

if there is only 1 pool that is full of people its because there is a good reason for that, maybe the other pool dont pay really much. lets say with what i have here im supposed to make 400wdc, ok take into account all what you want but lets say only 200 coins, when i make 45 coins/24 hour its far from 200 lets alone 400. the other thing people say to me if im not happy because there is not a p2pool.exe to make one, same to you make a better pool or shut up.
