Just joined worldcoinpool.com.

I'm getting disconnects every couple minutes, operation timed out.  Could this indicate a fork?  or a hardware problem with the pool?

edit: getting errors more often now, operation timed out.  What's going on anyone know?
edit: problem was with stratum connection, working fine on getwork as far as I can tell

hey guys. i've split my pools to different networks (and countries). so first pool now operates at eu zone and the second one is us-based.
that should help against forking blockchains here and there.
feel free to join!

I've compiled a Mac version of the Worldcoin wallet. It works well on my Mac, and is way better than opening up Parallels to run the Windows wallet, so I'm sharing it in case anybody else finds it useful.

This build is from the latest Github sources as of this morning. I built the app on Mountain Lion, and I think it should work on Lion and above. I'm not so sure about Snow Leopard and below. Until a few other people try it out, I would treat it as beta software, and back up your wallet.dat early and often.

Give it a try, let me know how it works!

if there is only 1 pool that is full of people its because there is a good reason for that, maybe the other pool dont pay really much. lets say with what i have here im supposed to make 400wdc, ok take into account all what you want but lets say only 200 coins, when i make 45 coins/24 hour its far from 200 lets alone 400. the other thing people say to me if im not happy because there is not a p2pool.exe to make one, same to you make a better pool or shut up.

facelift the problem is the calculators are wrong you are getting the right amount, for example coinwars.com shows a stupid number it's not correct its about 50% of that.

i take the stats in the pool not outside, so when i see around 400/day and dont even make 45coin then there is a problem and a big one with that.

The whole crypto currency community is run by scumbags just like in the real world, everybody just cares about themselves. What's funny though is that these idiots are shooting themselves in the foot. Instead of doing thing properly like not dumping, controlling pool hash, they will destroy everything instead.

Prime example nobody was even donating to the developers besides like 3-4 people.

facelift the pools use same generalized numbers for a coin, I have never went by those numbers. They are not taking into consideration orphans which you will still get until the difficulty and hashrate increase more.

my pools are doing it another way. they're calculating an average amount of real transactions made to your account to provide your indicator of average coins per hour.

Is it just me and my 200 khash 5770, or is the difficulty on your pool REALLY high I've only gotten 2-3 shares a block, and this isn't just now, but even when the pool was first made

Faster blocks don't mean faster confirmations.
Wanna bet, I have tested it many times. Confirmations are directly linked to the mining of a block, hence it's rate dependent.

Anybody have a site or block explorer that lists the current network hash rate?

worldcoind getmininginfo is the command you use.

It should return something like:

Code:
{
    "blocks" : 55457,
    "currentblocksize" : 0,
    "currentblocktx" : 0,
    "difficulty" : 5.48483013,
    "errors" : "",
    "generate" : false,
    "genproclimit" : -1,
    "hashespersec" : 0,
    "networkhashps" : 1246960706,
    "pooledtx" : 1,
    "testnet" : false
}

Then at the bottom right, no connection. Tried downloading the client several times and even on a different PC

For anyone having connection issues, go into your .conf file and delete the addnodes they are no longer needed since the network is healthy, and will delay your sync. Also, make sure daemon=1 is in your .conf file if you are using one. Make sure port 11081 is unblocked. This is a very rare issue some users are experiencing, if the above still doesn't work, try these solutions below.
