- Markets
-- HODL. Community members with ideas of how to increase demand, and certainly if you’re willing to contribute to that idea, are invited to please voice those ideas. While we have some great progress on 'supply side' thanks to PoE, we know 'demand side' creation is needed. We have been planning an organizing a 'EGC reward center' where community members can purchase various gift cards with EGC only. This option had been temporarily removed with the loss of our payment gateway (CoinToPay), but is now back on the table. More on that later in the update. We are seeking grants for this specifically, to buy gift cards for the planned reward center and / or marketplace. When larger grant funding is sought after, professional grant writers probably will be hired. We feel confident to handle smaller grants and grant applications internally.
-- Enmanet exchange is being sold and users of other coins have had issues with withdrawals. Unfortunately, this comes only a month after the addition of adding EGC. Fortunately, community members did not widely use this newer exchange and no reports of user issues directly related to EGC are known. The exchange was removed from the website promptly.
- Software Development
-- The developer working on the Android Lite wallet has proceeded work. We are very pleased the developer has found the time for work to resume.
-- A source code maintenance release, Version 1.8.4, was committed and seednodes upgraded. Various other infrastructural nodes are actively being upgraded. It is not a required upgrade.
- Website development
-- CoinToPay sevice has been restored and crypto payments re-enabled on the website!!! This is a vital component of the EverGreenCoin ecosystem and we are thrilled with its return.
- Solar Web Wallet System
-- Use is growing steadily and reliability is good (after some initial wiring-related issues, now perfect reliability). We are proud to provide this service to the community.
- PoE
-- Teams for PoE have started to form. Basically; a group of people using the same EGC address for PoE submissions because of a shared goal. James has started "YangGang Unofficial Green Team" (in support of Andrew Yang's presidentail bid and for making a contribution to it) and is already gaining new sets of eyes on EGC daily. Community members are free to form any team for any shared goal they may have. PoE team formation does not indicate any endorsement by The EverGreenCoin Foundation, Inc.
- Advertising
-- Thanks Cameron for raising over $100 via Facebook fundraising! Cameron expressed he wished the funds to be used for advertising. This advertising will start in August. Google ads will certainly be a platform used for the advertising. Options for other advertising, and the viability given the funding limits, are being explored. Decisions will be made early August and advertising campaign(s) lunched shortly after.
- Authorized Efforts
-- A donation to both Greenpeace and NRDC were made. While these donation were small, they were doubled for both organizations. Many organizations receive matching throughout the year via their own grants and other donations. Doing our diligence to double our impact is something the EverGreenCoin community should expect and we will make every effort to do so when possible.
