When do you expect DGC to double given it gets cut in half, along with most other alt coins, everytime Bitcoin makes another move up?
Seriously, unless there's a plan to mitigate this Bitcoin effect then there's no way to stop this freefall and the CryptoAve plan will only give DGC so much support and maybe a temporary bounce.
This Bitcoin pressure is too much to handle and it will drive most alts down to zero unless a plan is put into place.
I personally stopped linking any alt. coins future worth or current exchange value directly with Bitcoin exchange sometime ago. Whilst the BTC/DGC , BTC/LTC etc. exchange value is obviously very important it is certainly not the be all and end all. The very fact that DGC held strong, stable and level during the recent BTC price rally clearly demonstrates that all is well with digitalcoin. If Bitcoin is the kernel, then alt. coin are like distros. Bitcoin is on its way to becoming a de-(centralized ?) store of wealth and Litecoin is probably heading that way as well in terms of 'gold' vs 'silver'. Digitalcoin is designed for making fast transactions over being a store of wealth. Sure, I'm guessing that holding a fair number of DGC is probably a very good investment for the future. Its unlikely that DGC will ever have a value above BTC, thats really not the aim here, digitalcoin is about making transactions and being spendable. Digitalcoin therefore should see better price stability and as wider adoption increases the price should also rise against both BTC and fiat currency. Vlad2Vlad had advocated ixcoin to myself in a thread a few days ago, because of its similarity / differences to Bitcoin (which is fine and I do merge mine a few of those myself). My interest in DGC is not just about seeking big returns, its also about continuing to make better, faster and safer 'money' for the masses. What Bitcoin aimed to offer from the outset and what it still does offer people today. The digitalcoin community understands this and supports what DGC has the potential to accomplish. Just look back in the thread over the last few weeks - new online web wallets, smart phone apps. and portable USB products are being created by the growing DGC community with active marketing and support, outside of crypto forums. I don't see this actively happening with very many other alt. coins currently in quite the same way. Lastly, If you want a coin thats similar to Bitcoin and stands a good chance of going somewhere, then with the launch of CryptoAve exchange soon you probably wouldn't go a miss checking out Securecoin. I totally agree with you. While many other altcoins crashed already, Digitalcoin is still alive an quite strong. The price isn't fluctuating that much, which sounds positive to me. Many altcoins are dead / will be dead before they reach the age of the DigitalCoin. Digicoin didn't. Other altcoins which are quite strong in my opinion are LTC, FTC and TAG. I'm also happy to see that there's still a Digitalcoin community alive. It makes me realize that Digitalcoin actually has potential. I like it!

I want to share something else with regards to why digitalcoin has so much potential. I don't belive Satoshi Nakamoto's vision for Bitcoin was about making mega bucks, it was about making better money. Those who forget that are greedy, evil, mostly-capitalist-fools. Bitcoins, Alt. coins, Pizzas and Haircuts. - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=323188... text that was on the original bitcoin.org website and was probably written by Satoshi ... What is Bitcoin’s value backed by?
Bitcoin is valued for the things it can be exchanged to, just like all the traditional paper currencies are.
When the first user publicly announces that he will make a pizza for anyone who gives him enough Bitcoins, then he can use Bitcoins as payment to some extent – as much as people want pizza and trust his announcement. A pizza-eating hairdresser who trusts him as a friend might then announce that she starts accepting Bitcoins as payment for fancy haircuts, and the value of the Bitcoin would be higher – now it would be backed by pizzas ”and” haircuts. When Bitcoins have become accepted widely enough, he could retire from his pizza business and still be able to use his Bitcoin-savings. No mention whatsover of big business, corporations, investment banksters etc. - just of hard working people in a local economy, providing goods and services, using a better form of 'money'. You're exactly right. It wouldn't hurt to focus on some of the core values again. Bitcoin has become one giant casino. You'd be insane to actually spend any of the coins now. If we want to change things around we might want to start spending digitalcoins. Let's start right here at this community. Here's to the community spirit, with a touch of futuristic pathos (granted, a little bit weird) > http://vimeo.com/32858053 and this might happen if you are a hardcore miner with slightly oversized gpu rigs in the basement > http://vimeo.com/28044594

BTC/DGC~a few days ago I might of agreed with you but i just got word and i've been giving it some thought>> that bitcoin will be shifting to more high gear type functionallity where as folks will be looking to alternatives for the smaller transactions..DGC looks to be near the top of the pack ! ====>good things to come here imho! digitalcoins will be hitting some radars! ~*~ i'd not be surprised to see DGC go up to around .01+(~litecoins) in the near future!

http://i41.tinypic.com/2z4h94i.jpgWebsite- digitalcoin.co: Visit the main website for information on getting started and using digitalcoin. What It Isdigitalcoin is meant to be a simple currency that keeps its value well and does not experience as much volatility as some other crypto currencies. This regard for stability is inherent in the design. It is optimized for performance and is one of the fastest ways to send and receive transactions in the world. - A digital currency secured by miners. Miners are people who dedicate their processing power to processing transactions. - A means to store value. digitalcoin is not controlled by any authority and can be held and stored anonymously. - A fast method to send and receive money. Users and merchants are notified of transactions instantly and can choose how many confirmations they require. - Transparent and open source. digitalcoin is maintained by an active community of users and developers. - Easy to use. There are many tools that make using digitalcoin very easy to use. All you need is an address to start receiving money, and if you want to send money, all you need is the other person’s address. That simple. Transaction Specifications- Irreversible value transfer means that DGC is as safe as cash - Transactions are sent instantly and are confirmed in less than a minute - Double spending prevented by the block chain - Miners process transactions and create new currency through mining - Transactions can be received at any time even if your wallet is not online - Anonymously transfer using online payment processors Technical Specifications- Algorithm: Scrypt is used to encrypt the network’s transactions and ensure it’s an integrity. - Confirmations: Confirmations come in at an average of every 40 seconds. - Reward: Rewards started at 20 and have since gone down to 15. Rewards encourage miners to support the network long term and are payments for their processing power. The rewards halve every 3 years and give DGC the same increasing rarity that currencies/commodities such as Gold and silver possess. - Maximum coins: 200,000,000 coins will be minted. That is enough to ensure enough supply for circulation especially when each coin is divisible up to 8 decimal places. DevelopersEveryone is welcome to contribute to digitalcoin in any way. If you have expertise that you would like to contribute, please contact me. A stable network providing regularly near instantaneous transactions has potential for many exciting implementations. DGC to the Moon !!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPWucqna9Eg~ During a visit to the NASA space center in 1962, President Kennedy noticed a janitor carrying a broom. He interrupted his tour, walked over to the man and said, “Hi, I’m Jack Kennedy. What are you doing?” The janitor responded, “I’m helping put a man on the moon, Mr. President.”

The Digicoin has increased 41.27% in value according to http://coinmarketcap.com/. I think a rich guy or lady sees potential in our lovely coin Does someone know what caused this? It was really fluctuating the last days. It's worth about 2,5 dollar cents according to CoinMarketCap

What is the best way to buy some Digicoins?
It is impossible to avoid buy bitcoins?
In Spain lotto started to have taxes (before was a public company were benefits were going to pay public services (what a horrible communist idea), and winner didnt need to pay taxes) Now benefits goes to private companies, so...., i thought, instead spending 200€ in lotto to gift, buy 200€ in crypto and print some QR codes (i would keep a copy just in case someone takes it as a joke)

Crypto-Trade: https://crypto-trade.com/ref/addfx has PayPal, Ukash and a DGC/BTC market. I've traded there and found them to be reliable.
