Hello pals,
Recently I introduced Bitcoin and cryptocurrency to my friends and family, they liked the concept but they asked me a question that I wasn't able to answer. Is Bitcoin really secure? What if a hacker was able to hack Bitcoin system/blockchain?Who manages Bitcoin security and what are the security measures taken to avoid hackers being able to steal Bitcoins? Why Bitcoin is not blocked for those who use it illegally by buying/selling in the deepweb market? What if governements ban Bitcoin because of these people?
I really appreciate if you  guys give me some answers
It depends on your wallet that you are using. If you use trusted online wallets or wallets that have private keys, I am sure that your bitcoins are safe if you will use trusted bitcoin wallets. Hackers can't hack your bitcoins if you will use trusted bitcoin wallets.

I think bitcoin is quite safe, if somebody loses its bitcoin maybe it's just carelessness.
therefore we are always alert, careful and keep our account well so hackers do not steal your bitcoin.

Well not really, though bitcoins is secure there are still some ways that may lead your bitcoins to lose or get stollen by other people. You must keep your bitcoin wallet's private key or password and accounts. Because its the most important in saving bitcoins. Losing these is like wasting your time that you spend in earning bitcoins.

It really depends upon us, how we use it. We must take care while sending bitcoin because there is no dispute option like PayPal.
Yes, It totally depends on the wallet you are using to store your bitcoin otherwise bitcoin itself is very secure in context of investment. Bitcoin is very much secure investment up till now rather people have even left traditional gold and real estate investments for bitcoin just because they are making decent money with it than gold. Bitcoin is very much secure if you keep it in famous wallets and my favorite are offline ones.

Yes since bitcoin is decentralized i think it is secure with blockchain. The only thing that can get you hack is when you give your private keys. You should enable your 2fa on your wallets gor security and be aware on phishing sites."

I can answer some of that questions, First it is very secure to Assure that our investments and transaction are in good terms, so Hackers are having difficulty in hacking an account or wallet, the on ly thing that will lead you to scamming is your carelessness. For the Last question, the government can't ban bitcoin cryptocurrency for it holds the future of secure transactions and Investments, the government will accept it one day and it will help in our economy.

As per wikipedia “A blockchain is a decentralized and distributed digital ledger that is used to record transactions across many computers so that the record cannot be altered without the alteration of all subsequent blocks and the collusion of the network” Bitcoin cryptocurrency is secured by its own miners i.e. users. If a hacker wants to steal bitcoins from blockchain, it has to hack more than 51% bitcoin using terminals all over the world. Security of bitcoin wallet is in the hands of its user, it is the duty of wallet holder to keep its antivirus, firmware up to date. Never share your private key with anyone. Never click on any unknown email or link it may a trap from the hackers. Mobile wallets can be hacked but it is hard to break a blockchain.

Bitcoin is secured because when you open the app of Bitcoin their are password that can protect your Bitcoin account.sometimes you can't say that your Bitcoin is secured because their are many people ho want to have a big money when you say that you have an investment in the Bitcoin they want to get your account.

Safe or not bitcoin is visible from the wallet we use and how we fix the security of the wallet.
My suggestion is better to use wallet support 2fa for example google authenticator.
The government can not block bitcoin, they can only prohibit payments in this country.
Maybe that's the only answer I can give.

For me, I think it is not because bitcoin isn't secured in all aspects. We all know that bitcoin is decentralized means that it is not hold or lead by a person or a specific team so we can all say that hackers or some anonymous people might get into it and control it. All I can say is bitcoin was very good yet it is not good enough and secured.

Yepp. For me bitcoin was very secured. Eventhough bitcoin is a decentralized currency we can all sure that it is not somehow will hack by others as well as it will not controlled by other people tht might broke its good image today. Bitcoin was reigning in our world for a long time and bitcoin has a very good and very brilliant image for us because of its value today.

Yes,Bitcoin is really secure and safe depends on how and where you keep it. You are the responsible for the security of your Bitcoin ,you are the one who control  it and be careful when opening your wallet.

Bitcoin is safe and secure as long as you keep it safe. If you are new to bitcoin then before saving it you need to learn how to protect your wallet.

As far as I know Bitcoin and the blockchain in general is secure for now, because there is not enough computing power to break the encryption. This could change in the future with quantum computing, but for now, its secure. There are a lot of people (smart mathematicians and physicians) in the field of encryption researching this technology and trying to break the encryption somehow, but so far noone succeeded.

Another aspect of security are the safety measures that one has to do to protect his private key. If this gets in the wrong hands, its all over, because then there is no encryption anymore.

for me yes because Like in real life, your wallet must be secured. Bitcoin makes it possible to transfer value anywhere in a very easy way and it allows you to be in control of your money. Such great features also come with great security concerns. At the same time, Bitcoin can provide very high levels of security if used correctly. Always remember that it is your responsibility to adopt good practices in order to protect your money.
