First of all i'd be one lucky guy to receive such a gift. Second, i obviously would decide to hold on to it as log as i can. I don't think it would be a good idea to sell it though the price today would already be a very good amount. I'm just looking at the bigger picture when btc would at least reach 10k

No need to ask question for this. Of course many will just hold it like all of us don't wanna miss the train.
I hold 70% of this for long term or even for short term as I know I still have profited to this. And the remaining will definitely buy some promising coins so my coins will circulate and multiply fast.

If i will get this thing then i will never sell my btc because i know very well that what is bitcoin in thr current time and what will be happen in the future , so instead to get into any bad decision you should save and invest both because both of these ways are better to increase the value and amount of thr gift that you got .
If you are in fear that may be its value can go down then in my suggestion sell about 30% of thr bitcoin that you got in gift and save rest of in Wallet for the future and also use a small part of the bitcoin in the better better 3-4 coins for long term .
In this way you will make profit as well as less risk free investment .
Beside this idea you can use this amount of bitcoin for bitcoin only trading purpose because bitcoin only trading is a better option to increase the amount of the bitcoin with 0% risk .

For me, I will hold it until the price goes up to the moon. Some of it, I will invest in trading. Holding bitcoin for a long time can make the people rich and can change their lives. I will be rich someday if I will hold my bitcoin for a long time.

If i really need the money during that time bitcoin was given then well i will sell some of it and in cash it so that i will have money to spend for my emergency use then the remaining should be invested or to be hoard so that i could still benefit from the continues increasing value of the bitcoin. But if don't really need money on that time i will keep it all for my future emergency use.Gratitude to the bitcoin sponsor.

I will definitely hold it, 1 bitcoin now is worth $4500 but in the next month it can be $5000 if I hold it longer it maybe can reach $10k, so the longer I hold the better the value will be, it can be a great investment for me
I prefer to just hold it not to invest it, the sites nowadays is full with scammer so I like to play safe

I will not hold, a bitcoin is a gift and you should use it reasonably, you are always in the safe zone and if you can not get out of it, you will never become rich with bitcoin. I will use that bitcoin to trade altcoin, and of course, if I earn a bitcoin, I'll return that bitcoin to the sender because life always revolves around a rule that you get something, you will have to return that or pay something for the equivalent price. If you keep it and do not pay it back, you will lose more than what you get

Getting 1BTC as a gift is what i will call the perfect gift in the entire world and there is no way i am going to sell such an invest immediately,, When the year begun, the value of bitcoin was around $1000 an now look at where we are now, I will just save it completely forget about it and see what happens in the next five years, I am sure the value would have increased a tenfold by then.

Well, if I need some money to buy some stuff, I would sell a half of 1btc and I will keep the remaining bitcoins to my wallet. I will wait until the price goes up and doubled its original amount then I would sell a half of it again. Holding off your bitcoins lead you to earn a high profit.

What a grace if someone gives me 1BTC. Today bitcoin almost reach $5000, all I know is bitcoin is good investment now a days. If someone give me 1 bitcoin that someone is sent from heaven to bless me. I will still keep holding my 1 btc and because I know it reach $5000 and up. Still I will not convert it into cash and just keep it until for the better price to come of bitcoin. Because in the coming future bitcoin will become great and become the main currency entire the world. So, I prefer to keep it.

I think it is not a good idea because in that move you say that the one you will be giving a gift is a money person that always need money. And for me it is better to give a precious thing that make him special and when she saw that she can remember you than a bitcoin. So I rather give a thing or a material than giving 1 btc. I can share it instead.

I think it is a good idea in a sense thhat it can give it to your special someone like mother, wife or fiancè so that you can have some business start in order to earn and prepare for your future. 1 btc now is a high value in a sense that any people can buy things they want. And also bitcoin is a way to success of an individual and can help in future financial problems.

Well if I get 1 BTC as a gift then i will never cash out today, I will try to hold half of it in my wallet and will use other half in trading. Bitcoin has given us opportunity to make our future better and brighter, so why should we sell it now, holding is more profitable in future than selling it today. NO!! definitely not ... i will wait for more months before i exchange it to money .. i still believe that bitcoin will gain his $10,000 by the first month of 2018 or earlier that time .. i do believe on that and as chart shows it is not posible.. a adump of 300usd is bad but not bad once you see the pump of thousand or more .. you can see it if you will watch the value graph day by day

I would deffinetly sell it and buy some altcoins, because i see much more potential for altcoins, than for bitcoin
