I am really interested in this idea, but I am sure it will not be profitable. Mobile devices doesn't provide such power like computers and miners so it is not rationalize to use them for mining for now. It would be great if it changed someday.

I think this idea is not feasible. Mining with a mobile phone may be convenient, but it will take a long time and have a low success rate. I think that if you want to increase the success rate and speed of mining, what should be strengthened is the ability of the computer.

Would you be interested in a cryptocurrency with its own blockchain that can easily be mined on both android and iOS phones?
if you mine BTC or other alt coins, you may see that a very high power needed for effective mining, so I think mining with mobile will not had good result and gain 1- mining need high power energy ssystems 2- mining need graphic or cpu with high hash i think if mobile manufactures design this mobiles phones the lyfe cycle of these devices will be very short for above reasons

I would not even consider mining with a mobile phone. It's already hard enough to see profit from GPU miners and Asics so I can't imagine mining with a cellphone would even be possible for profits. Better off doing bounties to earn cryptocurrencies if you're unable to purchase or mine them.

You should check out Electroneum. They launched an app for mining electroneum on the phone. It is not a real miner but a simulator but the rewards is real. But from some days the miner is offline.

I believe it will never happen becuase it's too cheap to buy a phone nowadays and it's not necessary to have many things to start. People will lose heads in this case.

Electroneum is the first cryptocurrency that will allow its users to mine it with a mobile phone. This new feature will allow millions of smartphone users around the world to get started with cryptocurrency mining, an industry previously reserved for computer geeks and nerds.
The Electroneum team has described their mobile app as a Mobile Mining Experience.App has already been developed and is currently in a beta testing phase. The Android app can be downloaded from the Play Store.
Rest of the information can be found easily.

Mining using android phones would provide new avenues in earning more. I wish that it would happen very soon though it might require mobile phones with very high specs.

Nowadays all serious Bitcoin mining is performed on dedicated Bitcoin mining hardware called ASICs(application specific integrated circuits), usually in thermally-regulated data-centers with access to low-cost electricity. Think of a Bitcoin ASIC as specialized Bitcoin mining computers, Bitcoin mining machines, or “bitcoin generators”.

I think you do not want to do mining on your phone because of it this seems to be worth it if you do because I've done that and until now the mining of the phone can not be withdrawn or sent. so it would be better if you use pc.

sounds impossible if you think that you need special cpus to mine on pc and that it ruins your pc on times on times. and also it burns ALOT of electricity. i guess in the future they could do something about it . not about now tho

If therebwould be apps that will enable us to do mining on our phones, then that would definitely be wonderful as it would allow us to earn more with just our phones.

When my phone is working slowly or the laptop is not working properly, I immediately check if I have a mining virus with some cryptocurrency. Seriously, I have a lot of important information in the phone and all memory is busy. I would not want mining on my own phone.

I think it would be interesting. But I also think that this will be a useless activity, since the income from such mining will be very minimal.

That will never be happened, as you can see a lot of the mining rig has used the vga as the minimum requirement to mine altcoin and that can't run in the mobile device, or that will be exploded. and how could we expect that spensing big amount on mining rigs just to mine coins, and all of a sudden can easily be use mobile to do such?thats impossible maybe the gadget will explode without mining even a small amount of altcoin..this is crazy to believe that they miners will allow this to happen.this purely advertisement but for sure theres no reality on this one. I think it would be interesting. But I also think that this will be a useless activity, since the income from such mining will be very minimal.
I think its not Minimal, maybe nothing at all, seems like they just wanna make believe the users about the project to be popular and earn big in ico but totally it's senseless

With android phones that are keep getting sophisticated with their specs at this period, I do not think that it would be impossible to mine on phone, less power consumption and portability. However, the difficulty of mining coins will affect the efficiency of the miner and might be improbable to produce sufficient results.

Of course, this sounds very tempting, but it seems to me that this is unlikely. Which phone has enough power for this?
