That's actually not a bad idea, the Bitfinex exchange gave out tokens to make people whole after a big hack and Bitfinex is still alive. Also Shadowcoin became Particl when the devs stopped working on it and SDC holders could swap for PART.

It needs to be trustworthy though, and whoever does it can't be anonymous, it has to be someone who's willing to stick their face on a website or people won't trust it.

I think it also needs to bring something to the table, it can't just be eBTC2, it needs to be a token that offers more to have any appeal, people have been burned bad by eBTC and trust is thin on the ground, if someone takes this on it needs to be someone worth investing in or there's no point, people don't need another Satoshi21, and personally I wouldn't drop any ETH if I see eBTC2 on an exchange, not unless it offers something.

The remaining team behind this (probably they also got screwed) sure took a while to figure out what actually happened.
Whoever satoshi is he aint a kid, this was well planned or maybe it was well intended but gave up cause of all the trouble with the poor handling. We will find out with time.

But i see tw and things are getting back online and some ppl still pump $$ in this, wither to keep it alive or just dont know yet. I cant see it as a good future since they keys are all lost unless they , if still possible, so a swap or a new coin. Still to dodgy now.

Thats why we should have a high authority checking every coin coming out, with ID checks and such. This needs to be regulated. No way things are free while people exist. For every good person there are 4 fuckers, scammers whatever. Period. Nothing will change that except an Apocalypse.... sad.

People still in denieal and or think they see a bargin, without doing any research.... Buying coins without any research what you wanna buy is a very good recipe for disaster. eBTC proofed that and still is once more

I hope it will have traits like Mooncoin as this coin never died and gave rise to some tremendous gains. But eBTC is different:
*less coins
*way less coins
*good name
*first mover
*a story

Newcomers can finally have their own Bitcoinica (feel Zoutonged?) / MtGox (feel Goxed?) and share in a common meme. It is all about growing old(er) within the scene.

Big chance that eBTC remains alive and kicking longer, much longer than we can envisage right now.

The real question is if there is a reputable dev, even just 1 to save this coin. If I understood how to code etc i would buy about a mill ebtc at this low price and introduce a plan to turn this coin around. And obviously follow thru with it. Again it would have to be someone who people with full member and hero accounts can vouch for, not newbie accounts. Just my 2 cents

Its a shame this could of been a good currency.  We have some alternatives right now that have a chance, ethereum lite, eth cash, eth blue, ebcsh.  Maybe onfo those can do something.

Dev is also an idiot if he was just trying to scam money.  He easily could of pushed the price much higher by supporting this token and developing.  Could of scammed 10x the amount if he wanted.

Worthless, may as well just hand out Dogecoin, the same team are tarnished, anonymous and offering nothing new that will attract people to actually buy your coins on exchanges.

Go home guys, the party is over...We all had fun. So many experienced investors tried to warn on investing in this mess but got attacked. I sold at the highest peak and some guys said I would cry later, but guess who's crying now? The community was massive which was interesting, but the idea was just too silly for me to even hold this free token.
