Absolutely true, the price of a up and this can not but rejoice. But I still have a certain amount of doubt about this project. I will calm down only when the developers place information about the team on the site. In the meantime, we are waiting for news about the exchange. The developer promises to make an exchange on October 30. |

I'm not sure someone asked it before so I will give it a try : does the code of the new eBTC token will be available prior the swap of the token ?
I personnally don't have the knowledge to look at the code, but well this could provide a real transparency toward the eBTC community.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that I don't trust the new dev team.
(I'm all new in the cryptocurrency world : sorry if it's considered as a dumb question)

The code will be made public so that it can be audited by the community after being internally and externally audited. |

I wonder what a token swap brings compared to airdropping a totally new eBTC coin. The swap will probably never be fully complete, leaving one original eBTC token in play and one new 'original' eBTC token. Could be confusing as hell.

I wonder what a token swap brings compared to airdropping a totally new eBTC coin. The swap will probably never be fully complete, leaving one original eBTC token in play and one new 'original' eBTC token. Could be confusing as hell.
Any gen1 eBTC tokens that remain in the wild after the swap will be replaced during the swap with gen2 eBTC. For example, if only 19 million eBTC are returned during the swap, The gen2 eBTC will have 21 million tokens available for the swap, any gen2 tokens that are not swapped and remain will be added to the development funds or airdropped to gen2 eBTC holders. Trading will be paused at a block #, after this the current gen1 token will be delisted from Mercatox, ED & Dec and then the gen2 token will take its place retaining the eBTC ticker. I said if before ok the last page, there’s a few people trying to scare people off the swap, I’d much prefer that every single gen1 token is swapped but unfortunately in the event that someone doesn’t return their tokens they will be added to development funds or airdropped, and I have a feeling that some people on the last few pages would prefer they get a larger airdrop if more people decide too not return. |

And to use some of "unswapped" coins for small future airdrops, bounties or signature campaigns is also a great way to fund development and marketing. |

This should be in bold. This is what people want to hear and what dismantles the fud spreaders argument. I am not sure this swap will actually work. if it requires people to "return" their coins - how will they ensure this safely? I think the only way to truely do it is to airdrop a new coin. But that would obviously mean the original token is basically worthless.
This one is much to much of a risk for me now. Once burned and all...

at this point, the bug could be useful. after swapping. you create 1000000000000000000000000 or more ebtc version 1. who would ever want it. |
