I don't know why people say bitcoin is gambling. Its not gambling. You are investing your money and time. You use your internet. So its not gambling dealing with it.

I do not understand your words, earn Bitcoin and call Bitcoin is gambling is not related. As far as I know, although there are many methods to earn Bitcoin without gambling, but gambling was the primary method to earning Bitcoin for newbie in the past.

Bitcoin is not gambling, its an investing and savings. Other people say that bitcoin is a gambling maybe they don't understand well what they mean and they lack of ideas. Bitcoin is an internet money that gives opportunity to the people to earn extra income. But we believe that if they understand well already they could say its not gambling. Bitcoin is not gambling because we earn bitcoin by working on campaign. Maybe other people think that bitcoin is a gambling because they can use it for payments when they gambling.

Strange that a lot of people don't understand basic English...   gambling by definition is: to stake something on a contingency.    Going out on a day with 50% chance of rain is by definition gambling.   Betting on red at a Marina Bay roulette table with a 50% chance of red or black is gambling.   Buying 100 shares of Apple with 50% chance of going up or down is gambling.  Buying 100 btc that has a 50% chance of going up or down is gambling.   You are staking something (money) on a contingency (either A or B will happen).  

And for those who don't understand what a contingency is:  it's simply an event that may occur, but is not certain to occur.  

 

I don't agree with you, everyone here doesn't know what's gambling mean. For me bitcoin isn't really gambling because you buy 1 BTC and if price goes up or down you will still have 1 BTC. But you lose fiat money which you invest for buying this 1 BTC.  For me the gambling will be if you invest that 1 BTC into some other crypto currency and after few month that coin became worthless (like MICE and many others)  then you can call it gambling because you lose that 1 BTC which you invest.

Bitcoin is a currency, if anyone mentions Bitcoin is a gamble I think it's wrong because in the Bitcointalk Forum it's a lot of work that is not from gambling, there's a lot of work we can choose one of them we work as a bounty seeker inside the bounty itself we are required to describe the positive about the global warming and so on, of course, in all the problems there must be positive and negative, but from it all we should also be able to choose for positive things of course, because gambling is a negative thing most of we prefer not to follow it because there is still a lot of positive work in the Bitcointalk forum that we can work on.

I fully understand why others call bitcoin gambling. This is because of what they hear about not having 100% sure profit. Bitcoin is a crypto currency or in real world, money. In real world, a game is called gamble when it involved money or chips in casino which has also equivalent  to money. Just like that, if you use bitcoin for gamble,  then it is gaambling.
