Bitcoin is not gambling

We have different views or perspective when we look at bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. Maybe they say bitcoin is a gambling but not typically a gambling where you're going to put a bet and you're either gonna win or lose. What they mean is that when you invest to bitcoin there's no assurance that you're going to win (To Earn Profit) and that's why you're going to take risk in investing to bitcoin just like in gambling you don't know if you're gonna win or you're gonna lose right?

So it's not typically a gambling (betting) It's just like a synonym for them.

Of-course Bitcoin is not Gambling as we are earning with lot of efforts.

Life itself is a gamble man.  So, if you are into somewhat investment, or business venture, you are gambling.  It is a make or a broke.. Even a good management skill cannot do miracles when you are losing.  So buying bitcoins is also a gamble, because we don't know what will be the exchange come tomorrow...

Of course Bitcoin is not gambling. Gambling is just a risky way to earn Bitcoin. Don't know people have thinking like that about Bitcoin. Maybe they just heard about Bitcoin 1 or 2 times before and they don't really know what Bitcoin is. Beside they only know some risky ways to earn money with Bitcoin such as invest in HYIP system, betting,  dice,... I think it's the main reason for this case. I've met some people like that but I have explained for them about Bitcoin and they've changed their mind )

Yes bitcoin is not a gambling, bitcoin is just a currency that we can used to gamble online, some people looking bitcoin as gambling because it is not totally legal in all country we can earn without any requirements, bitcoin is a freedom to used all people can able to get income its just need an internet connection and gadgets to make profit but still bitcoin is not gambling.

It depends on the users perspective on what bitcoin is all about, the high inflation rate of bitcoin price is quite tempted to buy a piece or a fraction of it and saving it for the future and hoping that the price would double again in the next few years or a couple of months and that's what we called investing. Investing and trading is still a form of gambling but with calculated risk and skills and it only differs on the turn around time to roll again for the capital. The concept of bitcoin is not for gambling purposes but to exchange good and services in a cashless form thru computational reward.

I don't know why people say bitcoin is gambling. Its not gambling. You are investing your money and time. You use your internet. So its not gambling dealing with it.

Somehow there is a part where we gamble in bitcoin because we are putting money into bitcoin and we don't know what the outcome or price will be in the future but then the difference of it in gambling is that you do not depend on luck alone to win. In bitcoin, we are investing into it because we have speculation that it will increase in value in the future because of the trend of previous price going up and because of the fundamentals as well wherein it has a strong support from its community and demand is getting stronger by the day so it has a higher possibility of getting higher in price compared to gambling wherein you just sometimes depend on luck alone and most of the time you will not be lucky because of house edge.

It depends upon the impact of an individual who used to invest of it, Me i used to state its similar thing with gambling because ones you get involved with it there's two things may happen to your investment whether you win or lose, Win signifies you earn a profit in your investment, Lose when you don't find profit to your investment.

Bitcoin is entirely different from gambling.In gambling,we rely completely on the fortune after we bet and it may either give you huge profit or else,you may lose your whole investment.It has ruined the life of many people.

What I think is bitcoin are as much gambling as the stalk market
It surely resembles gambling but in a descent way obviously
Also earning money through bitcoins does take a lot of time and effort and also ! Its not a matter of sheer luck...you need to use your brains too..

Its a bit of both. No matter what price you buy in,, there is a significant risk of it going down. While the general trend is positive, there are many prolonged dips within that trend, that could mean a loss if you have to liquidate. the price cant really be considered stable, with this volatility. living currencies require this stability, in order for the public to form a consensus of what the currency is worth. a 20% swing means a dollar loaf of bread cost a dollar 20. or a 20 dollar tank of gas costs 24 dollars. its significant, and the reason why bitcoin is still more of a gamble, than a currreny. its an investment class, at best.
