I agree Bitcoin is not gambling. It may have risk but not like the risk of gambling. For me, Bitcoin is an investment, due to the risk can be mitigated. It does not depend on its internal setup but rather the demand and supply of the market. IT is also affected by speculative minds of people involved in Bitcoin Market so the factor affecting Bitcoin is far from the factor affecting the result of gambling games.

well in my part the another term of gambling is opportunity and hope it is not really a gambling. Gambling is where we put money and have a game to get some more money if we won the game but bitcoin is like investment"and if we get it and hold it maybe its price will rise on the another day and it will become more profitable to those person who believe and hold it in a long term.so then bitcoin is not really a gambling. It is hope to all who believe on making money using it such as investing and trading it can also use it gambling .but i suggest that it is more profitable in investing. |

You are right thinking Bitcoin is not gambling it is just digital currency but Bitcoin price is up and down thats why many peoples says its gambling or like as bubble but i am not agree with this people its their wrong thinking.
Bitcoin is not a gambling, it is digital currency which can be used in gambling. People used bitcoin in wrong doing just like gambling, buying illegal drugs, and etc. Let's apply what we have learned in our life such as learn from mistakes, experiences, and helping others. We can use the bitcoin in donating in the foundations. |

For me investing bitcoin is a gambling why??! In gambling when you are betting you dont know if its honna win or loose,,in investing bitcoin,,weather if you will earn or you will loose in you investing that is the similarity of investing of bitcoin and gambling that is why some call it is a gambling

Bitcoin isnt gambling but there is gambling of bitcoins. Also with money, people earn money/cash in various ways; gambling is also mentioned and one of the quickest way to earn either Bitcoin or money! Somehow, in trading, the word gambling also comes in play and when you don't really know the nitty gritty of what trade entails then it can be termed as gambling too. So, in summary, an OUTSIDER who doesn't have a basic knowledge of how Bitcoin operates just concludes prematurely that Bitcoin is gambling! |

We need to say something first: Life is gambling - whenever you like it or not. Everything we do has consequences and we are failing more than we like to admit.
The difference between old-fashioned casino gambling and investing is simple - gamblers are risk seekers and investors are risk averters.
No one really knows if the new project or idea will be successful, same with Bitcoin - on paper, it looks like something extraordinary, unique and forward-looking vision.
So are you a risk seeker or risk averter when you invest in BTC?

I think gambling and agree with previous post, all our life is gambling, we always chhose one way from different and who knows what we will receive finally. Bitcoin is the same, you can devote time and money now and only God knows what will be in future.

sort of agree with the previous post, every decision you take in real life is a 50/50 (and of course most of the times we take the wrong decision  ) BTC is not different, it always depend how you use it, the moment you decide to invest in it, it's a gambling move (same for fiat). Every investment is gambling there is basically nothing which can give you 100% gain.. otherwise everyone would invest in it |

I think bitcoin is gambling when you invest money to bitcoin you can win when increase the price per bitcoin but you will lose when bitcoin decrease. |

Bitcoin is not a kind of gambling nor it is used only for gambling, maybe they just get a concept from other that it is only used for gambling. Bitcoin is a kind of currency in the web that's used for transactions and in some country it is used to buy some goods and to pay in some services just like here in the forum. Bitcoin is a kind of asset also that has no fixed value.

It is not gambling but because of the privacy feature many people have decided to make profit from it by either gambling or even starting your own gambling site. Sadly we now see many bitcoins going into gambling which gives it a bad name by the legal authorities

Same idea here, it is not gambling ! Bitcoin is a way of earning additional money without much of capital. You can use BTC not just for trading. You have it also by joining a signiture campaign like this. You earn BTC by just investing time and idea, you dont need money to exchange into the BTC. And you can make it grow as you show your hardwork. |

Definitely No Bitcoin is not gambling it is a digital currency. That gambling thing is mistaken identity of bitcoin maybe because there are holders use bitcoin in gambling in different gambling site and use it to bet to win. |

I think I they mean it's a gamble as in anything could happen and it's risky. These people don't really understand bitcoin, while it certainly is risky it's nowhere near as risky as other investments. The profits out weighs the risk by a vast majority. Everything has risk so you could say everything is a gamble and you wouldn't be wrong. As for the actual act if gambling it is obviously not because that would entail gambling games. They newn gwmbkig as in walking across a very busy street is a gamble with your life.

Of course bitcoin is not a gambling, and you are correct since its is a cryptocurrency in specific terms. But when you buy it and hold, and expecting it to have a bigger value in the future, you are gambling here  Because when your target is not met, you lose. there is a risk here involved when you consider bitcoin as an asset. |

As I know, base of its nature , bitcoin is may be a gambling or not. But if is a gambling it have a rules and regulation and if I correct bitcoin when its said a gambling its also in a legal form. And I think, to be it a gambling it may be illegal . I know it is not a gambling. It very helpful to us.

Yes me also, I don't get it when someone instantly say that bitcoin is a gambling. Maybe when they hear that you can earn money thru internet and by means of posting only. Their mind set is when the money comes from the internet or thru online, it is illegal and if it is easy money. They don't really get what the cryptocurrency is. |

You're right.Bitcoin is definitely not gambling because we never loss here,we always end up gaining more profit.And even when a lot says it's an easy money,but we work hard for it to have that big income.And the more you work harder in bitcoin,the more you will be paid off with huge profit.It's like a job.Work and you'll definitely earn. |
