There are so many altcoins to be mention as long as you hold your coins for longer years there ia a possibility that you can get more profit. You can also check or ypdate on coinmarketcap and other sites and the more coins you have hold in the future its better.

to determine the altcoin that will be held in 2-3 years in the future I think we should see altcoin we have, if they have a portfolio and good performance then we can hold it, eth still be an option but if no prospect we should just sell

If cryptocurrency still exists in the next 2-3 years I think hold altcoin will have a good price, but I think it's too long to hold a coin where the risk is also big and we can sell when the price is high and not too long hold.

I would advice to hold DeepOnion. It is right now super cheap and it has limited supply. This coin is the best privacy coin out there.  The forthcoming release of DeepSend will make it totally untraceable.

The LISK project is not a very new project. It seems to me that you should not invest your money in it. You need to look for something more interesting.

I do not understand how you can hold coins for such a long time.
- First, technologies are developing and a strong competitor to the main leaders may appear;
- Secondly, the very process of expecting a huge increase in money in the absence of any activity, relying only on faith, is a useless undertaking.

If you did this right, you may already earn the profit. at the beginning of Q4 2017, cryptocurrency price was not that high.
Currently the market of crypto indeed at the low price, but it is still higher than at the time you wrote this thread.

With so many coins being introduced everyday, so many of them will be dead coins many angry investors.  The crypto landscape will be very different in the near future.  I do agree simply holding coins will be risky so we need to keep track of coins and the market.

My long-term investments at altcoins are ethereum, litecoin, neo, ripple and monero. I trust all of this coins and i will hold it, two to three years from now could be way to far to happen but one thing for sure it's price value will rise and could be thrice or ×5 on it's value now. All of these coins are worth holding because they are dependable and we can rely at them. As years pass by the more valuable it will be, all we have to do is to invest now then hodl. Time will come all of our patience at waiting for years will be fruitful and profitable, all is worthy in believing cryptocurrency.

Ethereum is definitely going to survive for at least another 5 years, and therefore you can invest in it for the long term. A few other coins which I can recommend for the long term include Waves, Litecoin, Stellar, Monero...

holding in 2-3 years is a very long time and maybe it will be very risky because we do not know how the development of coins in the future. if the coin in the hold is ethereum will definitely get a profit because we know ethereum is a good coin, but if you hold your new coin like a speculate.

Holding altcoin with an annual duration, you better hold on Ripple or Ethereum
more promising than others
Ripple became the weapon of the banks in fighting in cryptocurrency
Ethereum is a favorite of investors to store cryptocurrency
