I'm trying to understand why are so many people against bitcoin?  is it the innovation that scares them? the feeling of staying behind? the fact that that money will go to the wrong hands?

Maybe because of the insecurity attacks to them..And they don't accepted the real value that given by bitcoin and really because of the benefits what people receive. They thinking that bitcoin is a scam. So they get scared within..

the fun thing is all crypto supporters claim about decentralisation and power of decision to the users, while the core of the crypto leaders are puting all their best effort to gain the most control of the crytpo market = $$$$  =  power of decision.

when BTC or BCH jump 20-50 -100% who do you think it profit the most ? to the people who can manipulate large amount of BTC at the right time ( before / after rides)

https://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin/address/14KsG6hxkM3cGGC4DvyEdf8uytoE7x9WRQ

Mining coins also start to be only the thing for giants cies, meaning decentralisation was really short . see who clear 90% of the blocks...

 Is not little contradictory?

Personally i think it is good that there is competition between coins, but they should all have a minimum of compatibility .
only few % of the population is familiar with crypto currency, going too fast in too many different ways is also nefast for the community.

Just take ETH and erc20, its getting really messy, ppls dont know what they are doing. products are half finish and security issues ( multisig ) and all can result on making more damages than good.

They do not know the real value of bitcoin and they don't believe change. As far as I know, being one of those non-believers (it was before, but I change), bitcoin will not be a currency in the future but now I realize that we have a hug and accept the fact that innovation is present at anything and anywhere

Maybe they are not aware of the bitcoin importance because of lack of knowledge.
The bitcoin value variations and non-flexibility to convert back may also be a reason.

I think many people are against bitcoin because they just don't understand what it is.

They resist bitcoin because they do not understand what the benefits of bitcoin are. If they have little desire to recognize bitcoin, I'm sure they'll like bitcoin.

So many people are fighting bitcoin because they do not understand what bitcoin is. They do not know how work and benefits are gained by joining bitcoins.

In my opinion, that's why many people still don't believe in bitcoin because bitcoin is not yet recognize all over the world. And I think many people already know about bitcoin,  but only few knowledge they had yet gathered about this. If this could be properly explained to them then there is a great possibility that they will soon believe in bitcoin and invest on it.

A lot of it is just due to mainstream media reporting fud and people just being misinformed and too lazy to actually read up in depth about bitcoin.

I am not against BTC but situation occurred to me this morning, I tried to sent 0.01BTC (value 65$) and the fee is about 10-15$. I couldn't believe my eyes, what the heck. This is why BCH has a huge opportunity to become top draw coin, unfortunately.

This is the biggest problem for bitcoin. Fee's are soooo high. So nobody can use bitcoin in their daily life...

I'm trying to understand why are so many people against bitcoin?  is it the innovation that scares them? the feeling of staying behind? the fact that that money will go to the wrong hands?

A webisite known as "Motley fool" recently published an article titled 4 Reasons I’ll Never Invest in Bitcoin. Its arguments are that:
Its anonymity is its own worst enemy.
If global governments discover that criminals or terrorists are using bitcoin to fund their activities — and at present there are very few checks and balances in place to weed out this sort of behavior — it could prompt a crackdown. If governments around the world instituted regulations that made it difficult to own bitcoin, we could see prices plunge.

It's response to this was that...
Yes, this is entirely possible. As I’ve talked about many times before, governments hate any form of currency that they can’t track, control, and tax. They hate cash and they hate cryptocurrencies even more. It’s entirely possible that some governments will make bitcoin illegal, though it’s just as likely that they’ll do what Japan did, and just surrender to it because so many people are using it.

Regardless, let’s say your government made bitcoin illegal. So what? Marijuana is illegal in most countries. Does that mean people don’t use it? Does that mean the price of marijuana is low?

Hell no! Indeed, many years ago, before marijuana became legal in my state, I strongly considered being a distributor. This was because I was seeing guys make as much as $4000 per day supplying this stuff. The fact that it was illegal drove the price up, not down.

So, if bitcoin becomes illegal in your country (which is a big “if”), you’ll still be able to buy it, and it’s value might actually go up.

I personally think that governments will eventually be forced to accept the concept of cryptocurrencies the same way the US government has had to accept both marijuana and guns; there’s just too many people owning and using these things for them to ever be made illegal in any practical way. Bitcoin (or some other crypto like Ethereum) will be the same.
I agree with you if too many people own those things than even the government can do nothing anymore because if the majority of people invests and have bitcoins then how can someone from the government be bale to ban it nobody would like that and there would be protests.

The fact that they don't understand how does the industry work. Some people tend to get envious and starting to hate the things that they can't understand, Bitcoin has a quite complex industry in which at some point they tend not to proceed. Also, fake news contributes to downsizing the reputation of Bitcoin in which these people who accuse Bitcoin as a scam and all the transactions are illegal makes potential and existing investors to leave and de-motivated to proceed because they're now afraid of what's going to happen with them after hearing such news.

Many people are against bitcon because of the following:
First, they don’t believe in bitcon itself
Second, they think it is a kind of scam or fraud.
Third, they want to control the bitcon
Fourth, they want to destroy bitcoin create same as bitcoin
Fifth, they don’t want to earn money in bitcoin

It maybe because of lack of knowledge for crypto currency. Or they can't  hold or have control of their actual investment or actual money. They can see it in the screen but they can't actually see where the money goes. But usually it is that they couldn't gain control over btc no matter how much they put in. Just my 2 cents.
