Why are so many people against bitcoin?

As far as I know they are againts in bitcoin because they doesn't have enough idea on how bitcoins work and what it is for? They are always bashing it for no reason.

One tend to hate what one doesn't understand or feel threatened by its existence. Ignorance and feeling of insecurity by those in financial services sector of the mainstream economy cause the hate.

Maybe the goverment doesn't support Bitcoin or other Cryptocoins and that Bitcoins and other coins can be hacked. Bitcoin, coins and blockchain is frequenty in the news. Positive news will win people's trust I hope. The following post is positive:

because they still don't know that much about bitcoin yet. well, for me, based on experience, people keep on talking about something that they have no knowledge on. they chose to talk than to understand it first.

and before, when i am not familiar yet with bitcoin, i thinks it's bad because the word bitcoin is related to deepweb and deepweb is actually, like what other people say, somewhat dangerous so i thought bitcoin is dangerous. but its not. its just not legalized yet, but that doesn't make it dangerous.

I think the main reason is that a lot of people really have no clue what bitcoin is. I know what you might be thinking: “Great, I can get in ahead of everyone else!” But a misunderstanding about bitcoin, or a complete lack of understanding, could actually yield terrible consequences.

Want an example? How about heightened volatility like we’re witnessing now, or perhaps back in 2013-2014 in the bitcoin marketplace? People might get the broader-stroke concept that bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, but they don’t understand the bigger picture of how it’s challenging monetary theory, or that bitcoin proponents are looking at new ways to secure data and currency transmission. If investors don’t understand these concepts or the risks involved, we could see another Tulipmania-type collapse.

I think a lot of people that speak bad against is afraid they will be scam or they understimate the true value of bitcoins. They have refuse to accept the fact that bitcoins have come to stay.Is very pity and very hard.

Because they may not come into contact with COINS, he has a great dependence on the traditional currency, then may be their national government's attitude towards the currency held against, allowing them to the currency is also have a negative attitude

I'm trying to understand why are so many people against bitcoin?  is it the innovation that scares them? the feeling of staying behind? the fact that that money will go to the wrong hands?

I think those people who are against bitcoin are those people that do not have a benefits and profits that can get here. Those people are not knowledgeable what really bitcoin is. Either they are against bitcoin because in their perspective bitcoin cannot help them for their everyday life. Those people who are against bitcoin is just a waste of time so do not bother yourself from that kind of people.

Because they don't understand the true meaning and value of bitcoin. They don't want accept the changes in our technology yet they dont have intention to learn it. Maybe some of them are skeptical to the point not knowing even trying once in their lives.

That's true this is one of the reason why people are against in bitcoin unless they see what is the outcome and result to what we are doing. The changes that happening in our technology they did not accepting it , the main point they don't have intention or willing to learned it.

I think there are two essential reasons. 1 is because they fear the government will detain them. They are conservative, they do not believe in making money online and they are suspicious. They think that it is not easy to make money, but the bitcoin market helps us earn a lot of money so they will be more afraid. In addition, journalists or bad thinkers of bitcoin will make up stories about it. Propagate that extensively.

I think it's because they are not well-informed, and somehow knows Bitcoin by its name. Plus the fact that they are not interested about it. Further, ofcourse people will always be cautious om the things or the person they get involved or encounter. The bottomline is that their idea of Bitcoin is not the same way on how we understand it.

It's because of fake news in internet and also they are not aware of real fact of bitcoin/block chain. So they are getting afraid of scam. But its not like that. Those who are all against bitcoin, they are missing the huge opportunity of their life.

I think those people who are against bitcoin are not educated enough of what it can do. Those who are not open this kind of change in the world of currency. Also, maybe bitcoin being decentralized is also a factor. Government do not have any control in here. The transactions made can not be tracked. Maybe they think that it is illegal.

If a local news fb page here posted about btc most pf the comments are against btc they are saying it wasn't good and very risky to invest, because it wasn't back up and blah blah blah. Until now they keep on saying that. Of course in order to earn big, you also need to take a big risk. But i'm pretty sure if btc price will become low, those haters/guys will invest as well.

The main reason why many people are against bitcoin is that they don't have enough knowledge about this. I think for those people who are against bitcoin, they think that it is scam and they will encounter some risk. But the truth is there are many people who do bitcoin because they experienced  earning money and investing without putting out their own money. There are many advantages and benefits that comes from bitcoin so there's no reason to against many people in bitcoin.
