Have you heard that one of the biggest exchange for alt coins Nova Exchange will close sometime in the coming months? Does anyone know why this is happening? Is this due to loss of revenue because almost everybody is going to bitcoin now?

IMO altcoins are not dying at all and even become more and more interesting, offering new features which Bitcoin will never have!
For me they are more interesting than Bitcoin itself.
Maybe bitcoin and not more interesting than all the current altcoins, but it built the whole world of crypto currency, and if it crashes then everything collapses  Do you mean if bitcoin dies then averything gonna collapses? I do not know what should happen if bitcoin died before altcoins |

Change of management. As far as I know Nova has been sold and the new owners are changing or upgrading the platform. |

After the fork, it will be Bitcoin's turn (probably all of it's flavour) to fall and altcoins will recover. This movement was expected, nothing new to see.

Altcoins are not dying. For me they are really cheap now. Actually now is the time to buy them. I have a few coins in my radar now i hope to buy them in the future.
I know that some altcoins are now falling because of the events that happend like the price increase in bitcoin, but now you got the chance to buy some coins.

Alts will continue to bite the dust at the rate new garbage coins are brought to market.
Some alt projects fulfill the original vision of Bitcoin better than the original, so there will always be alts to compliment the overall ecosystem.

I have lots of altcoin investments and I am not going to be sad because their prices got low. It is expected of the stellar performance of bitcoin now that its value is going up and a lot of people are selling their altcoins in favor of bitcoin. I fear a crash will be next.

Altcoin gets hammered by bitcoin but this will not so long. I believe about the bitcoin maximalist will try to fud people to move to the bitcoin. I just think if this is an impact caused by that, Altcoin will be back in the future. |

Altcoin gets hammered by bitcoin but this will not so long. I believe about the bitcoin maximalist will try to fud people to move to the bitcoin. I just think if this is an impact caused by that, Altcoin will be back in the future. So far most altcoins haven't produced anything yet, and Bitcoin has been forking multiple times as well. So it's not a surprise that altcoins are in a bear market right now. Once the first products and platforms get released this will probably change, perhaps a bit sooner. |

Everybody knows why bitcoin is surging, but knobody new just how deep altcoins would fall. That is the problem. In the past altcoins actually grew the most when bitcoin was making new ath's it's crazy the amount of noobs coming in acting like pro's who actually don't know jack shit.

im pretty sure anyone wont believe this and i know that we know that it is normal for the altcoins or other coins to decrease and partially die half alive but basing on the value of altcoin these days i can literally say that altcoins are indeed dying because most of them are still on red and seems stuck for days. yet i believe that altcoins will still bloom next week or two , after the bitcoin hype has passed. |

That is also the most basic of my cryptocurrency trading beliefs that I still cherish, actually the only philosophy I can rely on. If altcoins are very low, then research and pick on one that you can be sure can bring good profits. |

Altcoins are dying and some will be dead. Bitcoin murdered them and now I want to murder my self.
First of all take those thought of damaging yourself out of your head, now bitcoin is not killing altcoins, we come from period in which altcoins grew at a faster pace than bitcoin and now we are in the opposite cycle now bitcoin is growing faster than altcoins, at some point this tendency is going to reverse and instead of getting threads like this we are going to get threads claiming the death of bitcoin. The next scenario won't the opposite current trending. After earned a lot of profits through altcoin and bitcoin, I think that's the time for the whale go out and withdrawal profits. Then, they will use that amount to enjoy and relax instead of create more FUD and spend many money. The market will come back to real value and they will go again when it complete. Well, that is a possibility but at the same time why the whales will want to get out when they can manipulate the market with such ease and they can make even more money by doing nothing, but even if you were right there is going to come a point in which alts are going to grow faster than bitcoin once again, so there is not much of a point in selling your alts right now since you are only going to lose money if you do that. |
