Altcoins are dying

Altcoins are alive and well. This is only happening because bitcoin is forking and people want to get into the new currency and sell it as fast as possible to make some money. After that, the money will only flow back into altcoins and ethereum will go up. Ethereum is just an example, but altcoins all together will slowly take their position again.

Yes it will be alive this is into a correlation when bitcoin pump altcoin has dump its value. But, this is only the normal situation in the altcoins market. I agree, the case of hard fork event that is why altcoin are down but does not mean it is dying.

It's quite obvious to see Altcoins' orices dropping as the fork is near and most of them are awaiting for the airdrops of BTG.
Most of the people i know have sold their Altcoins to receive the free coins. That is the main reason why Altcoins have dropped.
The other reason is the increasing price of Bitcoin which has implemented a decline in Alts price making it drop gradually over the few days.
The Altcoins will rise after the fork when people will sell their BTC and invest in Alts. So don't worry and be patient.

The price fall isn't surprising, and this isn't an altcoin crash per se. I really don't see how alts would be dying, especially considering the number of good projects incoming and the sheer number of people willing to put money in them.

Greed is making the alts plunge, but it'll go back to normal in a few days. For the time being, alts are discounted, and it seems like a great time to fill some bags !

Most people dont NEED privacy coins, most people dont care about masternodes, except to make more BTC

I think this is just a temporary occurrence, because there will be a hard fork that will affect the value of altcoin, like with bitcoin before there is a hard fork, bitcoin keeps raising its price but after the time approaching bitcoin will also decrease its value.After that bitcoin will again raise the price and behind all that altcoin value will follow the movement of bitcoin.

Just because they went down for a few days doesn't mean that they are dead?

This logic simply does not work. Bitcoin went up - and as a result most altcoins apart from a few have plummeted in terms of bitcoin pricing, however if you look at the fiat pricing it is actually still at the same level as bitcoin's pump.

Plus, investing in altcoins will always come with that risk of losing.

Some people are not thinking the consequences of their decision, they will just follow to the flow. When altcoins are increasing they were immediately investment then when they see it crashing down they were automatically withdraw it. That's how people thinking and due to lack of trust sometimes they were made wrong decision in their life.

I wonder how many of them realize that they will have to pay taxes if they ever want to use their crypto profits.

And most countries have higher tax rates for investments that are held for less than one year. So by swing trading they are screwing themselves over if they ever want to really get a Lambo or house.

But well, they'll end up paying the price. If they don't manage to lose everything in crypto, they will end up losing most of it once they wish to buy something real with the profits.

You might have entered the altcoin market at the wrong time( I also have done that  ). All the coin price was bubbled and the market is going though a big correction period. We have to wait a long coins will rise again, for sure.
