Altcoins are dying and some will be dead. Bitcoin murdered them and now I want to murder my self.

You might have entered the altcoin market at the wrong time( I also have done that  Angry ). All the coin price was bubbled and the market is going though a big correction period. We have to wait a long coins will rise again, for sure.
Each coin has a chance of growth and fall, so do not be discouraged that one investment did not come out, because it may bring another double profit, so it is how our "work" works.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

That's why you need to diversify investments. Otherwise if you messed up you will lose everything.

Some will be dead , true but most of them will survive dont worry. It is just because of the bitcoin fork. when it is completed they will recover very fast. No need to panic and sell any thing. Altcoins will be as profitable as it was before very soon.

Example: Digibyte and Doge coins absolutely dump the value completely in the price chart. I noticed from the last 3 days all the altcoins value and supply is completely dump in the price graph bro.
I too expect that all the altcoins should be increased in the price chart. I really worry about the ripple since invested 100 USD last week to buy it. If the price bumps again. I will sell it all:(

Its just a usual market reaction when something like a fork will happen. I hope you are familiar with the fork that gave birth to Bitcoin Cash. Its the same thing, so nothing to worry. Not yet the of the world dude, if you have Alts and you lost a lot already, you may want to keep it and wait till fork is over if you don't want airdrops for BTG, just like what happened before, Alts started to recover after the fork.

Every altcoin holder is going through same phase. There was a time when almost all the large and medium cap altcoin were red. My altcoin portfolio reduced by 50% in Bitcoin value.
Actually, not the wrong time but the unexpected and ridiculous Bitcoin price surge is responsible. Everyone has expected the price surge to $5k. But Bitcoin went overpriced and alts had to suffer. Correction would definitely be happening after fork and price is sure to touch $5k again. Altcoin will see a gradual growth then.

Bitcoin transfer fees are too expensive.
IMO, coins like ETH or ripple may be the ones used as daily cash in the future.

If xrp dropped the banking idea it could have taken over a long time ago

Such price situations are no longer surprising to me, the cryptocurrencies have really fluctuate prices. I think it is better to stay calm and wait for better prices.

I don't think there are dying and bitcoin is just driving them as the first cryptocurrencies and we expect it to be going up. I have been following this current events and I do expect altcoins to recover this week. Bitcoin did not killed altcoins but as it has been a laws of nature that the most powerful will gain more power and the rich will continue get rich from money and wealth flow from the poor. Bitcoin will continue to feed on altcoins to remain relevant and we have to accept this reality.

Fork affected them so much. But some of them are really dying. You should consider investing some trustable altcoins, having a big market volume. ETH will recover in my opinion as well.

Whatever that bolded in your comment means, the humour is lost on me. Anyway, I really don't see the death of altcoins as a factor that has do with the bitcoin. Bitcoin is a pioneer crypto and has deep substance with its usage and that is why it's still useful daily. What happens with some altcoins (off course there are good ones) is that they lack substance. These altcoins get dropped after a while because they lack the services they should be providing. Naturally and quite expectedly they get dropped and die off.

If theres already a lost of interest on a certain coin then it is really destined to die for sure we do see lots of shitcoin/dead coins in the market but yet there are still some could able to sustain and still kicking as of these days which arent considered as dead yet. They might decrease on their prices but doesnt mean it would completely die.Theres no need to murder yourself because you did just lost money on investing into altcoins. Its not really worth it at all.  Grin

many coins will die if the volume is low or the ICO deadline coincides with hardfork so many investors do not focus on them.
I disagree with the term bitcoin that kills altcoin, the death of some coins due to market responses and the inability of developers to provide more innovative projects, traders are only concerned with coins that keep moving and not concentrate on currency exchange only. .

Exactly. Bitcoin and most altcoins are completely separate things that don't compete with each other at all. So Bitcoin can't possible "kill" them.
