Altcoins are dying and some will be dead. Bitcoin murdered them and now I want to murder my self.

Have some patience. Alts always bounce back.
People have been saying that for 6 months as it continues to fall. If you zoom out on the charts you can see that Alts have lost all the gains they had made vs bitcoin earlier this year. It looks like we're going right back in to a flat vs bitcoin like it was in 2015-2016. Zoom all the way out on the daily charts. Does it look like Alts will rise vs bitcoin?

Yea I know what you mean. BTC is rising so high and don't give any Altcoins to breath. Most of Altcoins are in red color bleeding. But, it will be normal again, there will be correction to all Altcoins including BTC it self. We will see and hope the situation will be better for us.

This is because the cash flow from altcoin is transferring to bitcoin, resulting in a dramatic increase in bitcoin and a decrease in altcoin. I also hold a lot of altcoin and I think it will increase again in early 2018. You should not be too worried about altcoin because 2018 will be a strong year for the entire crypto market.

It is because of FOMO with bitcoin. There are lined up forks upcoming and everyone wants free coins. who doesn't. And so instead of the money that should be on alts, it is being invested on bitcoins. This will be over soon and alts will rise again Smiley

Maybe you gust schould chill. Why is everybody going crazy when the altcoins are dumping. Wenn the BTC is on a strong pump, the most people are selling their altcoins to pump eveything they got in BTC to earn more, to reinvest in altcoins Wink

I'm not worried about this one dump, but the long term bear market vs btc is what hurts. Looking at the charts now it looks like this could end up being a 1-2 year alt bearmarket vs bitcoin. If you have real money invested and have lost 10-20 bitcoins because you got stuck holding Alts waiting for a change, it's normal to worry.

Altcoins that dont have any serious team behind them or those that are not based in a serious project will die. But there are also altcoins that will last and will have a bright future. Take a look at IOTA  Wink

Posts like that make feel that bottom seems to be near. I did not expect those heavy dumps.

But I am happy that I can accumulate more crypto assets for bargain prices.

If bitcoin does not come down, altcoins will not recover. Its painful to hold on to alts. But few more days and then bears come...

Alts are only dropping because people are moving from alts to btc then from btc to usd. We will see the rise of all alts sometime early next year.

Everyone already knew that, old stories. But it very hard for bitcoin to have 100% gain in short term while altcoin can.

Do not get so upset, I think no one will die, although they are bleeding now .. Very soon everything will be better, look, the BTC rate is already correcting right now

Altcoins are not dying for sure nor it's dead. Bitcoin has reached new high at $18,000+ before it slowly falls down to $15,000 and yes, it's affecting the altcoins since it's an indication that they're dumping their altcoins for bitcoins. But despite all that, Litecoin and Dogecoin continues to rise.

IOTA is a coin with serious team and project behind. The last deals with Microsoft, Cisco, Samsung, Volkswagen etc. prove that.
If you are talking for short term trading i would prefer forex and not coins. Some altcoins are very good investments for future.
Im into investments and not "short-term" games buying and selling after a couple of cents.
