I think someone needs to analyze where Dogecoin posted their stories to figure out how to create similar buzz.
Difference between that buzz and any buzz you attempt to create is simple: You or anyone else here, isn't 4chan. It took off with the added backing of 4chan and reddit. The exposure it got via 4chan alone was enough to create hundreds maybe thousands of new investors. Unfortunately we aren't a meme or a popular anon forum. That's where doge coin succeeded. It capitalised on a meme and hype of it.

We could create a new meme coin every time a new meme is created!

Well we could make a new meme coin etc. I have a few ideas similar to doge coin that would advertise on the same principle. With large exposure. But I hate the whole idea of it so haven't done anything about it.
4chan and reddit are responsible for doges success for the same reason as teenage girls large for boy bands. They'll like the band no matter what, if it ticks the box of boys singing.
Doge ticks the box of everyday meme commonly used. It becomes funny to the point where it's referenced in every thread. Then the coin comes along and the consensus is that it's a great idea, as well as being a coin, which adds to the belief that it's anti government, and hey ho, you hit the teenage/young 20's bracket.

MarkM spoke about putting together coins like IXC and DVC. I think the concept of colored coin could start putting together these two coins. If then you wanna add a meme to capture the attention ok, but behind the joke people want to find solid foundations. IXCoin with a good frame, DVC with social purposes, the meme attracting the shallow ones. It could be an explosive combination. Am I going MAD too?

Not at all Dexter - you're on the ball. Here's the thing though, this tesla coin idea is not a joke or a scam or a publicity stunt. Just listen to Mark and Friction if you think I'm crazy. This is a massive opportunity: we have a huge popular NameBrand [for which I own the domains] which we can use as proof of concept. Do you understand what we have here? Any progress will be echoed via the internets which will be picked up by major online media outlets and the reason is because the name Tesla is almost as hot as Apple right now. Imagine having the right to use the name Apple or iPhone? We are doing this legally and by sheer luck or destiny we also own the dot com and the dot org domains to Teslacoin. If I were trying to scam I'd have launched the coin last year and ride off the name-fame. Let's add TeslaCoin on top of iXcoin and prove it works and if I'm right then we're gonna get massive free media exposure and if we succeed I'm certain many other coins will launch on top of iXcoin cause the biggest problem right is a) people think iXcoin is either dead or a scam and b) iXcoin supposedly has nothing new to offer. Both of these perceptions are completely false yet people cannot see it.If we pull this off people will finally understand the need and huge advantage of a massive hash rate and it will prove iXcoin is unique and not a scam. So, can I get an Amin?

TeslaCoin on top of iXcoin. Are we sure nothing happens, changing the rules of the game? My dad always says: when it comes to money and women, I cannot really be sure of anybody. In 10 days I've seen people offering half dead coins and now a gonnabe coin. I think this: everyone is pursuing its own interest. It will not be different in this case. I say: building the updates for iXcoin comes first, all the rest can be an help or a distraction. You all: choose well your moves, possibly with the aim to save and boost IXC.

A meme is an idea, behavior, or style that spreads from person to person within a culture (from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meme) So a meme coin is a coin with viral behaviour.

Building up and updating iXcoin will come first as Native Colored Coins need to be added to the iXcoin code. We just have to plan this out properly and prepare TeslaCoin so the integration will be quick and seamless once iXcoin is ready. Personally, I will not own any TeslaCoins just like I didn't own any ShitCoins nor any Nuggets so all my money is on iXcoin. This TeslaCoin experiment goes right with what Friction has been preaching. The only difference is that now we have a NameBrand to do it with so we may get some free press out of it. That's it, nothing has changed since yesterday. This is awesome on so many levels yet I'm shocked to see that 99% still don't see what's possible here. I thought I was dead last when it came to understanding tech, and although I don't fully understand the mechanics and software, the potential here and how this can change the entire crypto landscape is as clear as day to me and it is truly brilliant and amazing to think that not only can we be part of it but we may actually be the team that trail blazes this new 2nd layer of what will me CryptoMoney 2.0 [SmartMoney] if it really works.

That forecast is Mickey Mouse, I made more precise forecasts on my first day [8 months ago] when I didn't even known what a blockchain was. And this guy probably banks $10,000 off ads from that site. He's got short term at $910. Lol...that's the imminent price He's got long term at just under $4,000. That's laughable as well. Presuming bitcoin will not die soon and I don't think it will die for a few more years then an accurate forecast for BTC is more like: Short term - meaning in the next 3-12 months: $2,000 - $5,000. This short term goal is a near guarantee as long as BTC stays alive as there are many near guaranteed catalysts. Such as Amazon and eBay adding BTC. That alone would take BTC to this near term goal. And if I'm right and the ETF is coming in the next few months then I'd adjust my near term goal to be closer to $5,000. Long term goal - meaning at least 12-24 months out but more likely 2-5 years out. As long as BTC stays alive and isn't replaced by the likes of iXcoin then the long term goal is at the least $10,000 (12-24 months out) and could fairly easily touch $50,000 (2-5 years out). The short term goals I'm pretty certain of but going out 2+ years it's unpredictable due to governments and banks involvement and competing forces [which will be aided and guided by governments and banks]. So yeah, expect $2,000-$3,000 by Easter and at least $5,000 by the end of the year. All things being equal, that would value iXcoin at around $10, but most likely a few coins will go up a lot more and I think IXC will be one of those. Cause I don't wanna reach my $10 goal off free-riding off Bitcoin, I wanna see $10 and a lot more cause iXcoin is a superior coin which will get massive backing from Smart Money, ironically, because iXcoin is the most suitable technology for SmartMoney.

Memes don't really last (just like fads), so the coins should also be throwaway. Also a meme coin also needs a mechanism to mine it, you can devise all kinds of games to do this.

Maybe memes would make good colours for tagcoin, so people can give tag rewards for sharing the memes and the tags given be coloured based on which mem they liked or crossposted etc.

So let me get this right.... you have like Facebook integration so that when someone likes a meme, he gets a meme coin? So when he tweets a meme, he gets a meme coin? And what do they do with these meme coins? Trade it for other meme coins? !

Shocking. -MarkM- Why? It's simple and interesting. I used red just so it stands out cause the picture is busy. I needed a pic to put on eBay but now I can't cause it's saying my max limit is $5,000. That's a joke. And they wanted $50 for a reserve. So I don't know how to list this thing cause I definitely want to auction it for a lot more than $5,000. Or At least try.

It turns out, I am not the only one having this problem. Apparently, Vircurex only works with Firefox. I checked with Chrome and Safari and it does not work.
Vircurex works very well on all major browsers, Safari, IE, Chrome, Firefox. The "only" issue that caught people of guard was that the buy and sell buttons were not active if the order was too small (smaller than 0.0001). We changed that recently, an error message now appears.

Lol, ok. I did my best to not make it look like a cross or a double cross. That's why I twisted the equal signs 45 degrees. Otherwise how do you guys think it looks? I had my architect friend do if for me but I decided the look. I really needed something with an image to easier facilitate a sale. But I'm curious what you guys think in case we do launch a TeslaCoin on top of iXcoin. Any input or criticisms is appreciated.
