I do not hold any ixcoin. I am really considering all this a sort of hopeless experiment. If it should ever become a serious coin, well, I will regret to have been wrong all the time. At the moment, it's just a bubble, caused by announcements of developments.
Not even the owners of more then 17 million coins care about it (no donations), why should all the others care about it?
Eventually, I think Bitcoin will reach the announced value by Winklevoss of 40k USD, maybe within a couple of years. All the others coins, apart from a few exceptions, will be simply trodden, vaporised.
Why? Every day a new "dogecoin" is born, letting the buyer so confused. The only logical solution will be to stick to the original one.
Sorry mate, I don't see any real future for this coin.
Well that's where you are completely wrong. IXcoin competes with Devcoin for the #3 in hash rate among all alt-coins. Bitcoin and Namecoin are #1 and #2 respectively.
Anyway, the value of that high hash rate is a more secure network that is extremely valuable. More value that many of the alternate coins out there that have paltry hash rates.
That is why, if you look closely at the coin's trading, it actually holds its value long term against BTC.
So we the hash rate secure, it is just a matter of upgrading the code, adding services and building community to get this coin up there in the ranks of the top coins.
Merge mining is the way to go for stuff like colored coins. Stuff like MasterCoin is complete garbage and insecure.
