Wow! This one's good if it will push through. I hope this won't just stop at being a rumor though. We'll just have to wait for amazon to officially announce it. This is really big.

Rumours is still a rumour until the official news came out, this has been discussed repeatedly in the same forum regarding this thing, but until now, as you can see, still far from bitcoin adoption
to amazon's payment method.
Many people are expecting this to be true, yeah, I can know, but unfortunately, people like me, who owns a bitcoin debit card, doesn't need such adoption, maybe it could hype up the whole bitcoin community and make a better value for bitcoin. But if it's just a false rumours, nothing change.

Well done, we should congrats a bitcoin for this great advancement. Amazon is the world's largest ecomerse company, microsoft is a big company engaged in software, then steam is a well-known game company. if all three have adopted bitcoin, this will be a big step for bitcoin to further increase the number of users, and certainly increase the value or price.

The title of the article itself says that more rumors are spreading which means there is nothing to be so happy about as it's just a rumor.
If it wasn't a rumor then we would surely have seen a spike in Bitcoin's price as Amazon is large e-commerce site and it delivers it's products all over the world. Hence there will be a large number of population interested in the new payment method and people will surely buy some coins in order to buy products from it. Anyway, we shouldn't be so happy as these rumors keep roaming.

Further rumors are surfacing that Amazon will announce a Bitcoin-related innovation Thursday, as a German newspaper fuels speculation.In an article Tuesday, Die Welt reported that fintech sources in Silicon Valley were echoing previous hints from investor James Altucher that the global giant could soon integrate Bitcoin as a payment option.Altucher made the comments in a report last month, citing Thursday’s conference call as a D-Day moment for Amazon and Bitcoin.Ahead of the call, which anyone can listen to, momentum that the rumors actually hold substance are mounting.
“Even if the Oct. 26 date is not set in stone, Bitcoin introduction should probably be expected soon,” Die Welt writes.
Upon questioning Amazon, a spokesman replied to the publication in a predictably generic fashion.“(Amazon) opts to include new products or services only when these are useful for our customers - until that point, we do not engage in rough speculation.”The company has faced years of lobbying and rumors of various descriptions regarding its Bitcoin relationship since competitor Overstock became a pioneering virtual currency adherent in 2013.While multiple other midsize operators have since engaged with Bitcoin, Amazon’s participation would still be a first-of-its-kind move.
Several dedicated services already exist to offer purchases with Bitcoin from their websites through the intermediary of gift cards.These are great news, I hope that Amazon will accept it soon...

Though the price of bitcoin is not currently stable for big online retails shop like Amazon to use it as a mode payment and bitcoin value fluctuations like stocks and others commodities, I see this as a great development in the lives of bitcoin as this is going to impact the market positivelys. I think bitcoin will get to  $7000 before end of this year if amazon adopt bitcoin. Therefore this is the best time to buy bitcoin as the next corrections may push the price above  $6500 before end of this week.

I hope there will be a good statement or feed back about this speculation about amazon, because to be honest emerging your business into bitcoin is not that easy, it takes too much step to take the courage to have, the risk that need amazon to handle, we cannot deny that amazon is a big company, that really handle bulk of buyers around the world.
So I hope this not just to pump anything, or whatever, we are hoping and looking forward for this thing to happen.

This is a good news amazon is well known in providing everything you need in an online based selling and if they will accept bitcoin as a legal tender it would be very convenient for people to buy goods online it is expected that in the near future these online shops will kill supermarkets and even department store, this the new economy online shopping and a digital currency

It's too early to celebrate, it's still a rumor that Amazon will be accepting bitcoin. However, it's a good news that people from Silicon Valley wants to integrate bitcoin as a payment option. Everyone is expecting on this news to have a positive answer to amazon but does anyone here will really do shop with Amazon when they are going to start accepting bitcoin for payments? Because if that happens I'm going to be one of those people that will pay them with bitcoin.

it has not been a pump but a rally and not it was not because of this news although it may have caused a $100 rise at some point
this news was debunked as soon as it came out and it was never a "sure thing" either. they always said Amazon "MAY" accept bitcoin not that they plan, or at least that is the news i heard.

Microsoft now allows users to pay for games, apps and content using Bitcoin.
Since the helm of Microsoft is held by Satya Nadella, Microsoft is now more open with every opportunity available. This they have proved by making Microsoft Office a cross platform, released MSN Apps for Android and iOS, etc. Even the openness of Microsoft is now not just in the area of the platform, in terms of payment methods they are now also more open

It's about time that Amazon starts catching up with Microsoft in the Bitcoin master race and start allowing purchaces with bitcoins. Bitcoins are still growing now and the potential for further investments increases day by day. Amazom will greatly benefit from this just like how Microsoft is enjoying the benefits of accepting bitcoins.

I feel the news is just a rumour but in case it is true, this would be a shot in the arm for bitcoin and its value would rise further. If Amazon starts recognizing bitcoin as payment options like a normal currency, then we would have crossed the first hurdle of bitcoin not being in the mainstream. Amazon is big and it can really create a value store for bitcoin, no more dependencies on exchanges to convert bitcoins to fiat to buy regular stuff we need.

Only time will tell how this thing plays out. We can only wait and watch.

This is cool. Now, Amazon, one of the biggest online buy and sell company accepts bitcoin. This is great because it makes everything convenient for us. Now, I don't have to keep using my credit cards and pay the interests for everything I buy.
