I think there is no need to worry about that as they have a definite funds allocation plan depending on the outcome of the ICO.

I think ETH is just fine. you can convert your btc to eth very easily with shapeshift so no issue here imo.

a lot of ICO go with ETH only. It's the preferred payment option for them. and yeah it probably has something to do with the contract.
